STORY:
5 Thick friends ( 3 Guys and 2 Girls) in an Engineering college decides to stay together throughout their life. They are thick buddies and they roam together, eat together, Walk together, run together, and get their record corrected together in the
college
campus. Their friendship is so thick that they decide that if at
all they work all FIVE of them will work in the same firm or they
will not work at all. They even reject one Software Company Offer
because one of them didn't get the job. Their Life is
going to Besent Nagar beach, Eat SUNDAL, MURUKU Etc etc and buy
One beer and Drink together! They also do all good
things like dropping those girls in Home, Picking them up etc and
All those Watchman Job our Guys do without any hesitation. They
are like a typical Madras Engineering college guys. I think these
days Engineering Colleges are home for all these kinds of Crazy
Stuff. Three guys hanging around with Two Girls or Three Girls
hanging around with Five Guys etc and calling them as friends.
People are more Worried about Girls Friendship, Eating SUNDAL in
beach rather than Clearing Engineering Drawing or Chemistry Lab
in their 1st Year or the workshop in 1st year. I HATE
that ENGINEERING DRAWING which is the Useless subject in the
whole universe. I also don't like those MECANICAL ENGINEERING
Professors in Engineering College. They all are really
crazy because they don't have girls in the class and they get
irritated teaching for bunch of guys in the class. In that way
COMPUTER SCIENCE Professors are "THEEEEEE" Professors
in Engineering College as they teach for some good-looking
chicks.Ok coming to the story, One fine morning One among the Thick guys (Elango's) dad (vijayan) comes from his Village to Madras Engineering college and picks his son when he was dancing with bunch of Girls with No shirt after a Party or something like that. His dad who is a very strict guy and who hates all these dance and Songs grabs him from The crowd and takes him to village and force him to marry his Sister daughter. I think this is the most embarrassing situation One Engineering college student can face in his college life. DADDY or APPA coming to Engineering college and advising His Son before bunch of COLLEGE GIRLS,
SENIORS and JUNIORS and spoiling the
"HERO" Image of the guy! I really Hate the
advice "Dad's GIVE in front of Girls who are studying with
us. Daddy's and APPA's have lot of other place to give Advice and
I don't know why they want to give advice in the college before
girls. I am pretty sure that all of us would have Faced this
embarrassing situation atleast once in your college life. I have
faced like 100 times! Elango goes with his dad Vijayan like a "MADURCHI VITTA KOZI" and gets married to a girl and comes back to his college. He hides what happened to him to his thick friends. He forgets his wife and gets Posting in Bombay and leaves her and his friends and disappears. He lost touch with his close friends. One day in a train one of the buddies "Prabhu" meets a girl Easwari And falls in Love with her. I don't know what is the meaning of "LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT". How come LOVE will come to someone when you see a girl at first look unless otherwise she is good looking like DIMPLE KAPADIYA or MADURI DIXIT or PREETHI ZINTA. I don't think in any CHENNAI Engineering college they is anyone looking like the above three and I Don't know why guys fall in love with girls at first sight. He sings couple of duets with her not knowing that she is his close friend Elango's wife. After couple of JOLLU encounter Eswari slowly gets introduced to the Friends gang who stay together. When he was about to say his love to Eswari the
whole gang finds that Easwari is no one but his own
friends Wife! Prabhu who feels ashamed starts the process of
finding his lost friend.Prabhu who takes the task of searching his friend finds him atlast in Holland! He gets shock of his life as he is already Married and has a kid! Prabhu tries to compromise him and he rejects and comes back to India without any news. In the meantime Vijayan dies and the village people decides to arrange for another marriage for the girl. The Climax was too good and sweet. Watch The movie was a good climax!

Five New Faces makes a good Debut. Especially Eswari Former Miss Chennai was too good in her village role. Prabhu and Eswari dominate among the five! A good and casual acting by all of them. Vijayan was outstanding in his Acting. He comes as a strict Dad and later changes his attitude! Wonderful performance. But if you think if this story Is a practical story its not. I don't know how Thick friends can stay together after getting married etc. I think it's practically Impossible. While in college you can say that we are friends and we will remain as friends for ever which is Really possible, We were five in our college and even today we keep in Touch and we are very close friends. Couple of us from our gang Work for the same company for more than Seven years. There are some valid points in the movie like one female praising Those two girls Husband for being very co-operative without any negative thinking about their wife's etc. I think Guys must be practical and must allow their wife's to be free! It will give Individuality for them! Especially When you are outside the country you must encourage them to do things individually! Like Going to mall driving car! Although it appears to be silly for them it means a lot! It will give you good confidence! One other thing I see after Finishing college days is WE DONT KEEP IN TOUCH WITH OUT GOOD OLD FRIENDS AFTER MARRIAGE! I DONT KNOW THE REASON WHY!!!!! Especially if it's a guy and girls friendship after marriage 99% of the friendship Ends! I think it's basically the unnecessary Fear people have or the Guy or the girl is not Open Minded! This movie 5 STAR displays the true friendship people share in an Engineering college! But some of the scenes are too much to believe. Songs are too good to hear and the Picturization was good too. The movie has a "Alayam" Touch as it's produced by Manirathnam. A Different try and a good movie gets 60/100
