STORY:
Azagi is a different kind of Love subject. That is Love minus "Switzerland" Dream song, Red Hat, Orange Coat etc etc. The movie deals with Young age love that continues in a hero's mind even after marriage. Partiban is from a Remote village from south Tamil
nadu and so is Nanditha Das. They both go
to same school, Play together. Right from his young age Parthiban
has lots and lots of affection on his Class mate Nanditha Das
(Dhanalakshmi). He calls her as Dhanam. As they both grow
Parthiban's affection on Dhanam grows. Later he comes to know
that he is in Love with her. Days pass and he fails to tell his
love on her and she gets married to a Guy and leaves the Village.
Parthiban goes to City for his higher education and gets married
to Devayani.Parthiban's life is well settled in the City as he is a Vetenary doctor and his Wife Devayani is a very lovable female who takes care of him and his kid like two eyes of hers. One day in a traffic signal he happen to meet his Young age lover "Dhanam" in a pretty bad shape. She was working as a "SITHAL" lifting sands and rocks. Partiban could not take it because when he was young she was one of the most beautiful female in the village and was in such a good status. He happen to talk to her and came to know that she has lost everything in her life including her husband and is left over with a 7 year old kid. Parthiban who cannot take this because she was his lover for years when he was young starts to help her out.
He introduces her to his Friend 'Pyramid' Natarajan and later decides that it will be nice to have her in his House so that she will be in his eyes. Again Partiban's attachment on her is just out of the affection and not because of LOVE on her. One specialty of this movie is you cannot make distinction between his affection and Love. Devayani slowly feels odd that Dhanam calls her husband with "NAME" which no Servant does. She gets a doubt and she is not able to make distinction between Parthiban's affection and Love and Fight starts. The movie was taken in a Touch of Class way that you would wonder who is wrong and who is right. The movie ends as Nanditha thinks that if she stays there for a long time she will be a problem and leaves the place.
PARTHIBAN,DEVAYANI,NANDITA DAS:
I am a great fan of Parthiban Just because he brings reality to Characters. You can take any of his movies. He has acted to such an extent in this movie that you can hardly make any difference from reality to the movie. I have never been a fan of Devayani and I take my words after watching this one. She has proved that she can act very well. Come to NandithaDas who was rolling with FIRE in the movie FIRE. She has done her job to the extent that no one can believe that she is not a tamilian. Doing a role like this is not easy, as you don't pick breaks with dream songs and still impress the audience. A wonderful performance by all the above three artist.

I think everyone falls in love with everyone when we are doing our first, Second, Third, fourth ... 12th grade. Especially from 6th grade till 12th grade we dont know what we are doing. If you go to schools the rate at which LLE occurs (Love letters are being exchanged) has increased by 1000%. LLE is short form for Love Letter Exchange. People in school don't have any other job other than LLE these days. Too many Satellite TV spoil these kids. But the whole point is how many of them are really serious about their Love and how many of them carry it till their Life end. I would say One in Million does that. These days LOVE has become so easy that its available for Free and any one who has Time to spend falls in Love with Someone in his Class or College and when Time is not available he quits it. It seems that for this Valentines Day there was a huge poster in Trichy, which was like a cut out. The cut out was made to express his love on a Classmate!!! HA HA HA HA !!!!!
This movie is a movie for those who are in serious Love and the movie was taken in a way that you couldn't make a distinction between love and affection. The best part of the movie is the actors who acted. Three cheers to Parthiban, Devayani and Nanditha das who gets full marks for their acting talents. Ilayaraja was the backbone and Thangarbatchan did a great job with Direction. All together the movie is a "AAAAA" Class one although it was slow in few places.
