"BADRI" NEW TAMIL MOVIE REVIEW BY "Your Prabhu"

STORY:

BADRI is yet another movie which was over expected among the other movies released on the Tamil New Years day. Vijay who needs to give a Mega hit to stay in the Top Spot has done many things in the movie but nothing seems to be interesting and it looks like its yet another movie. The movie is a T.NAGAR "SARAVANA STORES" mixture of Super Duper Hit "JO JETHA WO HI SIKANDAR" and "TOLLYWOOD" Pavan Kalyan's "THAMBUDU". as Vijay who stays with the remake of Hit movies.

Vijay so called as Badri roams with his useless Friends Dhamu, Vivek and Two other "ITHU PONA" Friends. All that he does is sits and chat for nothing. He has a Very close friend and his Neighbor "BOOMIKA". Their Relation is like "PRIYADHA VARAM VENDUM" Style. That is they both know each other from Childhood, went to the same school, Combined studies in 10th, 12th, Question Paper Exchange from School to School, Vijay Sleeping in Boomika's house, Boomika sleeping in Vijay's house etc etc etc. Vijay gets Money from Boomika when ever he needs to enjoy with his friends and As usual when giving money she gives advice. I have seen these kinds of things happen in College. Girls Advising Guys not to Drink Beer, Not to Smoke etc etc. I have seen few asking these guys to smoke One Cigar a day etc etc. The relation of Vijay and Boomika is something like that. Vijay's father hates all his action. Vijay's brother Riaz Khan is a Kick Boxer and his dad wants him to be a champion in it.

Unlike "PRIYADHA VARAM VENDUM" where the heroine and hero knows that they were in Love Two minutes before climax, Boomika's One Side love on Vijay makes some sense. She longs to hear the words "I LOVE YOU" from Vijay. But Vijay who is a Play boy gets Money and Car from Boomika to roam behind other girls with his friends. After roaming behind 100's he finally falls in Love with MONAL (Simran Sister) who thinks that he is a rich guy as Vijay comes in Different cars. Vijay after few meetings falls in Love with MONAL and sings duets with her. No one can stand MONAL after seeing SIMRAN. Unfortunately both of them goes to a foreign country for a DREAM DUET and irritating things like having those WHITE EXTRAS in LUNGI, BANIYAN,THUNDU in the head etc etc etc. I don't know who likes to see songs like this. MONAL irritates with her costume!

Time comes when VIJAY says his Love with MONAL to BOOMIKA!!! Thats it. BOOMIKA gets upset and decides to go to COIMBATORE. Meanwhile Malasyia Vasudevan asks Boomika for 10,000 Rs that he gave to her. But unfortunately she has given it to VIJAY for His JALSA with MONAL. I think each and everyone must have a friend like her. So he gets pissed of and shouts at Vijay's dad. VIJAY's dad gets mad and searches for him. Meanwhile MONAL's Love also breaks as she comes to know that He is a Cheat and he is not a rich guy. From this point the "GALIJ" starts.

VIJAY's Brother who was supposed to fight for the KICK BOXING championship gets hospitalised as few other "ROWDI's" beats him and the doctor says that he cannot KICK BOX anymore. So his Dad's dream of seeing his son as KICK BOXER cannot happen. Now VIJAY who was roaming as Rouge takes the Charge and he learns KICK BOXING and gets ready for the Championship. Meanwhile he understands how Nice BOOMIKA is.

Now the director Brings the KICK BOXING and VIJAY's Love on BOOMIKA together. LOVE and KICK BOXING Goes Simultaneously. The director thinks that we will suffer or we will wait which is going to win. That is LOVE or KICK BOXING. Unfortunately there is no tension as we all know about Tamil movies. The BOXING sequence was nothing special as we are watching these kinds of movies from 1975. Its the same thing. HERO gets KICKED first and Blood will Come from his mouth. After that the HERO will see the Blood and KICK the VILLAN Like anything. Meanwhile the HERO's family will sit with Lots of Tension and all those Crap. I forwarded it.

Then at last to Bring the LOVE together he gets a MIKE. That was height of comedy. Its something like "BORIS BECKER" thanking everyone After winning his FRENCH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP He talks in his MIKE that BOOMIKA is the reason for his success and says "I LOVE YOU" in that MIKE in that KICK BOXING STAGE. Then BOOMIKA runs and hugs him and the Love succeeds and the movie ends. I think using MIKe's must be banned in movies. I don't like any Hero's using MIKE in movies.

VIJAY:

Vijay who had Great luck with remake movies like PRIYAMANAVALE, FRIENDS, KADHALUKU MARIYATHAI which made him to stay in that top list has come with another remake. For sure this one is not up to the mark. Who will watch KICK BOXING back home. I think for a hero to do such kind of Action movies they must look like a KICK BOXER. Like Silverstone Stallone in ROCKY or BRUCE LEE in ENTER THE DRAGON etc etc. When our Hero's does KICK BOXING, or Sumo Wrestling it looks really funny. Its really irritating to see VIJAY roaming with Five friends again and again in his movies and the same Kind of Dance sequence. Songs in Switzerland wearing Lungi, Baniyan !! I think the directors are spoiling everything thinking that they are giving something different. VIJAY's romance was not up to the mark with BOOMIKA or with MONAL. One thing is for sure. There is no Replacement for Either RAJINI or KAMAL. They are the Legends and for sure none of these new hero's can get near them.

BOOMIKA:

Boomika looks Cute. No over action. She comes in a decent Costume. A very homely Figure that falls under those "Suva Lakshmi, Devayani" Category but Looks far better than them. Not even a single place she has showed any thing which is a Big Drawback for us. Makkal Cinema Pakaradhu "SCENE KAGA THAN". But still we can give some exceptions for few good chicks like her "KONJAM SADHAI" POTTA Peruku Etha Madiki BOOMI "KYA" Iruppa. For sure BOOMIKA is a good Introduction. She resembles PRIYA GILL from Bollywood.

MONAL:

It seems that she is SIMRAN's Sister. Other than having a Well build structure she doesn't have anything. Look wise she is no where compared to her sister SIMRAN. She does not know how to act nor she looks good. Glamour Enra Perle she does something which is irritating. She is no way going to be a hit in Tamil. There are lots and lots of Good Looking heroines who can act.

One good example was SNEHA who was too good in Looks and Acting is sitting in Bench ! The only good thing about her is her GLAMOUR. Might be she can stand for another 5 movies showing everything with SIMRAN's Sister stamp. Other than that she is good for nothing. No one can beat SIMRAN in that aspect. She is a very talented artist ,is a Glamorous doll and at the same time good in acting. I think its really hard to get that combination! MONAL's dance in an European city was too Much !!! She is of no good. When Compared to BOOMIKA she is nowhere in this movie.

LOLLU COMMENTS:

Its unfortunate that none of the movies released this Tamil New Years day did any good for us. The Young generation hero's must step down and act in good movies. Who cares about Kick Boxing and stuff when they go to movies for entertainment. That too the Last Half hour was a Torture for anyone who watch the movie. How can one sit in a Theatre see Vijay kicking the Villain in a Boxing Stage for Fifteen Minutes. Fortunately I had my Remote with me to Forward those things. Couple of songs were impressive and I think if we hear them again and again it will sound good. The Director and Music Director do any good to the movie. For sure BOOMIKA is a Homely figure who can be accepted. She looks good in CHUDI! MONAL is MUMTAZ category but cannot go near MUMTAZ. Mumtaz has that Look and Structure and that Glamour and no one can go near her. Monal can neither be a good Artist not can be another MUMTAZ.

Vijay needs to rethink and act in good movies. Its really hurting comparing RAJINI and KAMAL with these new hero's. No way they are equal to them in Talent or in Acting or in the Charm RAJINI and KAMAL has. Even today at the age of 50's both the actors are the BEST and Please don't compare these New Hero's with them. Its like Over boosting these new hero's who are good for nothing ! The movie is yet another movie and the only satisfaction was BOOMIKA! They might have named the movie as "BARPHI" or "MUNDIRI" insted of "BADRI"The movie is worth only 35/100.
