next to NEW YORK CITY is located in 
thecoasts of LAKE
MICHIGAN which is the largest lake in the world. CHICAGO
is called as a WINDY CITY as the wind from the LAKE MICHIGAN
always blows the beautiful DOWNTOWN of chicago !! The city also
take the pride for the best SPORTS city of AMERICA as the CHICAGO
BULLS and the CHICAGO CUBS takes the championship every year!!
Talking about CHICAGO If I didn't say about MICHEL JORDAN (The
No.1 BASKET BALL PLAYER ) of the World this article has no
meaning. Yes CHICAGO is the City for the CHICAGO BULLS !! It's
the city that take the pride of having UNITED CENTRE in which the
BULLS won 6 Titles!!!
"SEARS TOWERS " The world's Tallest building is in CHICAGO !!! Its 107 Floor tall builing and 1450 Feet tall with the tomb its 1725 feet tall which is the largest building of the world. CHICAGO is another city of variety of culture !! It shares 25% of the city population from all the other countries of the world !!!! DEVON Avenue of Chicago is one of the greatest example !!! The ARTS and SCIENCE MUSEUM, The Aquarium which are located right next to the LAKE MICHIGAN are another plus to the city.
How about NAVY PIER of CHICAGO !! The beautiful PIER on the LAKE MICHIGAN which attracts all the tourist all over the world. The view from the Pier is tremendous !! The Boat ride in the river from the PIER if a major attraction for the people around the world. The BARS in CHICAGO are very famous for its wonderful Dance floors and the MUSIC !! If u are really interested I will suggest u some of the bars there !!!
OUR TRIP :
Let me explain how we enjoyed there in CHICAGO !!! I took one day off on FRIDAY which gave me THREE FULL DAY holiday to visit CHICAGO !!! We drove from COLUMBUS, OHIO to CHICAGO which is about 375 Miles one way. It took about 6 AND HALF HOURS for me to DRIVE TO CHICAGO !! Myself, My APPA, AMMA and RAJ !! So it was four persons in my car !!!
STAY :
Friends !! I love my CHICAGO
friends than any one else. They are the first friends whom I got
introduced from my First PROJECT 
in USA. They are my friends for the past
Three Years !!! We worked on a same project for MCI, CEDAR RAPIDS
long back. They were my room mate. Their Names are BALA MURALI,
CYRIL, JAWAHAR !!! My sweet hearts and who always welcomes me
when ever I make a trip to CHICAGO !! This time we stayed in
BALA's Places !!! Since its near downtown.
Aug 20th Friday 1999:
We stared our trip with SEARS Towers !! Parking in CHICAGO is one of the biggest thing that anyone can experience in this world. The parking ranges anywhere from 12$ to 25$ per day (Take a Breath) !! We climbed the Sears Towers. Lot of excitement for APPA and AMMA as they are going to Climb the tallest building of the world. I have did it nearly 10 times!!! We reached the top and it was all wonder to see the world from the worlds tallest spot. No one can reach more than that height unless otherwise u are going to fly in a plane. On a clear day from the top of the tower you can see four States!! They are Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan !!!
If u are in CHICAGO down town and if u want to tour the city in One or Two days u have to tour by the WATER TAXI there rather than on the road !!! That's my experience !!! U get water taxi to roam around the river for $12 a day!! The taxis run from the bottom of Sears to Navy Pier and Navy Pier to the Arts and Science Museum. The view of the city from these water taxi's are really amazing. Imagine you travelling in the water taxi in a river and tall buildings aside u on a 20 Degree day !!! We had a good view or all the buildings from the Boat !! The next boat from Navy Pier is more interesting as u can see the full view of the downtown from there !!! Then we saw the Arts and Science Museum which reflects the various cultures of the world and the ancient things. The highlight of this museum are the DIANOZERS display really amazing !!
21st AUGUST 1999:
This day was a golden day as
RAJESH, BABITHA, RAMANA, BABITHA's MOM, HER FATHER IN LAW, BALA,
SHIVA joined us
for the trip. We first went to our friends place.
They were ready with her IDLY and VADAI !!Then we had a good
break fast there! Then we went to DEVON Avenue!!
Devon avenue is called as the INDIAN street of CHICAGO !! U get all kinds of Indian items includes our traditional IDLY, SAMBAR to the PUNJABI DHABA !! U get sarees and Chudies and also u get Indian Gold items !! Also all famous hotels have a branch here includes Woodlands, Dasaprakash, Arya Bhavan etc etc etc !!!! You get the famous Chicago Pearls too here !!!!
That evening it was in NAVY PIER !! We had wonderful evening there in that beautiful crowd. We again went for the BOAT RIDE on the river. It was almost 8:30 in the night and the beautiful downtown was full of lights !! Just imagine the view of the downtown from one mile away !!! The tall buildings are really wonderful. Then when we passed one mile on the LAKE MICHIGAN the Adventurous boat started to ride at 45 MILES per hour in the OCEAN !! Just imagine u riding on a boat at 45 miles per hour in a sea !! U will get the thrill of your life !!!! AMMA, APPA, and everyone were screaming to the hell and it was one of the memorable moment of our life. Then we spend our rest of the evening in the Navy Pier which I would say is the beautiful place in CHICAGO. They have shops all around the pier u can do shopping, U can eat, U can dance what ever u want to do !!!
AURORA TEMPLE:
Chicago has lots and lots of Hindu temple. Chicago AURORA temple is one of the famous Indian temple in USA. You can say that your trip to Chicago is not complete without going to AURORA temple. Don't forget to taste the Kovil Prasadam its one of the best Prasadam you can have in your life. Especially that AURORA temple IDLY SAMBAR is the best you can have in USA!! There is another temple in LEMONT called LEMONT Hindu temple which is very famous.

CHICAGO is one of the best place
in USA. You can very well spend four full days in CHIAGO. Don't
forget to climb SEARS TOWERS, A Ride in MICHIGAN LAKE,
The NATIONAL MUSEUM, UNITED CENTRE, CHICAGO O'HARE Airport,
AURORA TEMPLE. If you want to shop big there is a outlet
mall right next to chicago. Its about 40 Miles north of Chicago
and its called as GURNEY MILLS towards Wisconsin. Average cost
for the trip will be 100$ a Person. If you have any friends over
there it will be superb as renting rooms is pretty costly. Enjoy
your visit to Chicago,
