STORY:
I watched "12 B" and "CHOCKLET" in a span of 24 Hours and I could feel the difference between a Good movie with a quality
story line and A movie that is made only for
Entertainment with lots and lots of masala Not worrying about the
Story line or about anything. The director of the movie has stood
up in one leg that he is Going do what he likes to attract the
crowd and he was quiet successful in that too. PRASANTH
known for doing College subjects has done it again not worrying
about anything with Two heroines. Prasanth is a young generation hero who goes to College with his friends Charlie, Dhamu and attends Class with his Girl Friends Mumtaj and co who studies in the same class and the Lecturers are the same old "ORU VIRAL KRISHNA RAO", "PANDU" etc etc who takes class about History, Geography and these guys bunk There class and does all kinds of things, which they claim that it's the College Environment Just to pull the College Crowd. One day he happens to meet "JAYA RAY" a new Student to his college and falls in love with her. We all Know how Prasanth will react when he falls in love with heroine. The Same old "Vazichal" Face we are seeing Years together. Prasanth and Co ( Charlie, Dhamu) Decides to go to Ladies Hostel in search of Jaya Ray. So they Dress like Females and goes there where JAYA RAY, MUMTAZ celebrated Jaya Ray's Birthday party. A Song Comes Which is the HIGH LIGHT SONG OF THIS YEAR! Really a Great Music by DEVA makes not only Jaya Ray and Mumtaz to Dance but for sure any one who Listen or Watches the song will dance forgetting yourself. The song is "MALA MALA MALA MARUDHA MALAI MALAI NE MARUDAMALAI" By AnuRadha Sree Ram. I bet this song is theeeeeeeeeee Song that i have heard this year.
The story runs likes this keeping nothing but "MASALA" in mind. JAYA RAY comes and dances with Prasanth with colorful
costumes, which were really attractive. MUMTAZ
starts confusion in middle. It seems that when these people were
partying one day some one cuts the Current and in the Dark some
one does something Cranky and she cries. JAYA RAY thinks that its
Prasanth who did some thing in the middle and breaks her love
with Prasanth. Prasanth overacts in the middle. Meanwhile to
bring things to normal "Prasanth and Co" hires
"BAGANAPALLI BHAMA" (Second Mumtaz) who looks
just like MUMTAZ. They act as if they are very close to her. The
introduction scene of Second Mumtaz was Colorful, Glamour Filled
with a Mumtaz kind of Song. Guys I advice you to take a Breath
and sit aside. For sure she was too much in the song and was good
looking too. Another College GANA song comes in 15
Minutes with MUMTAZ dancing on stage with Prasanth, Charlie etc
etc. To bring the Story back into the movie Prasanth acts as a mediator for SUHASINI and LIVINGSTON. The story really picks pace in the last half hour. Suhasini joins him and arranges for their Daughter marriage (JAYA RAY) and livingston comes to know that Prasanth was in Love with JAYA RAY. The climax was too much. Prasanth meets in an accident and People think that he is dead. At the time of tying "THALI" he jumps on stage and Kisses JAYA RAY. Then the marriage stops. Then he advice SUHASINI that only because of her he agreed to stay away from his love on JAYA RAY and teaches SUHASINI a lesson and Joins JAYA RAY.
PRASANTH :
Prasanth did his usual acting like a Romeo boy who is in College and who is in love with a Bombay model. There is nothing to say about acting or dancing. It's all the same kind of masala in his movies. He is a lucky hero who Is lined up with lots of movies to be released. A fair amount of success will do lots of good for his future movies, which for sure this movie did for him. A very happy
guy.JAYA RAY & MUMTAZ:
This movie is the kind of movie people were waiting for a long long time. The movie is filled with Glamour of these two heroines. Both of them LOOK REALLY GREAT in this movie. MUMTAZ looks good compared to her VEDHAM movie and she Satisfies 100% of what people expect from her movies. THREE dance with hardly covered dress and one Great song "MALA MALA ANNAMALAI" !!!! JAYA RAY a good introduction does her job, Nothing to say about her acting skills because no one watch these movies for acting. She too Satisfy people with Filled Glamour. She looks Slim and Slender and the kind of Shape and Model needs to have. But she does not look the same way Posters project her. A clear cut Model in Tamil movie who can be watched. One good think is both the heroines have decided to show off everything ( TALENTS). Both of them really looked good. A GLAMOUR FEAST for the moviegoers.

If some one wants to know how to make Masala Movie ask the director. The perfect combination for masala subjects. PRASANTH, A Bombay Heroine, MUMTAZ with a Director who just wants to give nothing but Entertainment but with OVER DOSE. If you forget the logic and watch this movie it will be fun. The end result is You got what you want. TWO GANA SONGS, THREE GLAMOUR SONGS, A small Story with, A College Subject Etc. This movie is doing well back home just because of "MALA MALA MALAI SONG". You watch any Channel this song is there. DEVA came out with an Outstanding GANA Tune. JAYA RAY and MUMTAZ a Double Glamour treat has satisfied more that what Our Jollus Expected in this movie. Songs are good to hear. The party Season is going to begin and we are looking out for some good GANA Songs to dance. CHOCKLET is there for You. A TYPICAL MASALA MOVIE gets 40/100.
