THIRD ONE
DAY IN INDORE, MP, INDIA:
It was a great day in Indore, Madya Pradesh, The central State of
India. A City that is not known for Sporting events. Indore is
now becoming one Ground which hosts International Match although
the ground is not up to International Standards. SACHIN
TENDULKAR the Tiger of Indian Cricket was there as
Opener. The highlight of the Day was Sachin's 10,000 Runs in One
day International Cricket and he is the first man in the History
of International Cricket to do so.
TOSS
Conterversy:
The Match started in a Big Conterversy. Australian Cricket team
was in tremendous pressure as they have been smashed by the
Indian Batting line up. They won the Second One day match in
Pune. They 
came with Mathew Hyden sitting in Bench and
MARK WAUGH gone out of the tournament with his
fracture hand. I think its fault on Any team to make a Player who
is in form in sit in the bench to follow their strategy which
paid the price of the MATCH itself. In this match they made HYDEN
to sit.
Indian Skipper GANGULY and STEVEN WAUGH went to
the field to toss the coin. It looks like there is some Cold war
going between both of them. WAUGH won the toss and for some
reason GANGULY went to the Speaker to give a talk. He was
confused that he won the toss. But it was Steve Waugh who won the
actual Toss. I was shocked to see lots and lots of article posted
against the Indian skipper today morning in papers.
TENDULKAR's
10,000 Runs:
We enjoyed the match right from the first ball. GANGULY who is in
tremendous pressure as a Skipper and who is been in the held
quiet by the media due to his Link with a Film Star didn't open
the innings as he failed to score runs in previous matches as
opener. DRAVID opened the innings with
TENDULKAR and it was all TENDULKAR that day in INDORE.
The outfield was hard that day and for sure INDORE stadium is not
up to International standards. TENDULKAR smashed 4's and 6's
everywhere. The poor victim from Australian side was Shane Warne
and Mc Grath who were taken for ride by TENUDLKARS class batting.
It was a special day for INTERNATIONAL CRICKET. Yes
TENDULKAR made a new record in INTERNATIONAL CRICKET by scoring a
Single against SHANE WARNE and he is the first person in
International cricket to score 10,000 Runs. Congraz TENDULKAR. He
scored 130 + Runs that day.
Tendulkar got good company from VVS LAKSHMAN the
new star who scored runs like anything. The Australian side lost
all its hope of winning the match as the score reached 230+
when LAKSHMAN was out at 84. GANGULY was restless and
was not playing a Captains game. He lofted a poor ball which
didn't cross the 30 Yard circle and he was out for DUCK!!
BADANI the new young star from MADRAS is a promising new
guy for Indian cricket team was unfortunately out at 23. India
managed to make 299 and they set a hard target of 300 to win in
50 Over's for the Visitor.
GILCHRIST who is a threat to India
opened the Innings and he was a real good that day. He smashed
ZAHEER KHAN for 24 Runs in a over. The match started to fall on
Indian side when GILCHRIST was caught brilliantly by GANGULY in
covers. Then came the spin attack by Little kid HARBHAJAN. For
sure Australians fear even to face HARBHAJAN. There is no
doubt in it. HARBHAJAN was cool and he made the
Australian to fear for each and every ball. GANGULY who failed in
batting didn't fail as a Captain. He rotated bowling and he found
that HARBHAJAN and AGARKAR are the good choice and he maintained
Pressure till the last ball.
Result AUSTRALIAN team was destroyed by the Indian bowling
attack. They lost the match by more than 100 Runs. India leads
the series by 2 -1 as there are two matches to go. The fourth to
be played in the SHIP YARD CITY and Northern Coastal City
of ANDRA (VIZAK) and the fifth one to be played in the
BEACH CITY of GOA. India needs to win either one of the
match to win the ONE DAY SERIES. If they do so it will be a big
Shock for the AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TEAM. They
never thought that INDIA will be a big threat to them. A team
which has a Great winning record has been Smashed by the Indian
Batting and bowling attack! Lets see and lets wait for the 4th
and 5th one day match.
A NEW LIFE TO INDIAN CRICKET By Your "Prabhu":
The hottest topic in India today is the Come Back of the Indian
Cricket team. Indian Cricket team is playing with great energy
with new looks. After the "MATCH FIXING" issue
people thought that the "Cricket" Bat, ball and Stumps
will be in Egmore Museum. Now our Indian cricket team looks good
after Two Test match victory against the
Visiting team and the most strongest cricket team in the world
AUSTRALIA.
TEST
MATCH AN OVERVIEW:
Things remained the same even after the First test match against
Australia in Mumbai. India lost in its 
first Five day
match. Although I don't get to watch matches live i always have a
close touch with the matches. After the First test loss against
AUSTRALIA everyone thought that its the same old cricket team
which is going to loss against the strong Australian team. Things
started to change in Eden Gardens, Culcatta when V.V.S
LAKSHMAN scored his Double Century. I watched V.V.S.
LAKSHMAN in the first one day International match. He has a Class
and he is a replica of our Previous captain Mohd. Azharuddin. His
acting, the way he walks into the ground everything is same as
that of Azhar. A great new Young talent is "HARBHAJAN
SINGH" who took 32 Wickets out of 50 in the three
Five day match. India were able to win the second test match
comfortably against Australia even though they were asked to
FOLLOW ON.
The Third test match in Chennai was a crucial one for the both
the teams. Australia wants to prove to the world that they are
the strongest team and Indians want to retain their lost name.
MADRAS M.A. CHIDAMBARAM stadium is always for India. Right from
the days of Krish. SRIKANTH M.A. CHIDAMBARAM statdium is
always for India. Miracle happen in Indian Cricket in this
stadium. No one can forget TENUDLKAR's century which
put India in a commanding position against Australia. But it was
a Small target for Indians after Australia batted for the second
time in the match. India was left with 150 to chase and 10
wickets in hand and almost 80 oversee to go. It was a tough chase
and at last India won by 2 Wickets and also wins the series by
2-1. Its a big loss for a strong team like Australia to
loose a series against India.
A MAGIC
COME BACK:
India's confidence boosted after winning the 5 day series against
Australia. The tickets got sold off in 3 
HOURS in
BANGALORE the Garden City for the First One-Day International
match. Its a Day and night match and the People of Bangalore was
flooded in M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. Here in USA we can now see Live
Cricket with the help of Dish Antenna which is quite
cool. Believe it or now we were 30 members who watched
Live cricket that day. The match started exactly at 4 O'clock and
it was a sold out crowd in Bangalore. India won the toss and they
batted first.
Ganguly and Tendulkar opened the innings. Soon Ganguly went into
the Pevilion playing a worst shot of his life. Then Came
Lakshman. Lakshman is a cool guy. He plays fast, Scores
runs and at the same time hits Six and Fours. But one
sad thing Lakshman lacks is running between wickets is really
poor. He was the reason for making Tendulkar Run out that day! Of
course one must appreciate Michel Bevan's fielding.
After Tendulkar it was Dravid who joined with Lakshman and kept
the score board moving. One thing 
that was nice to see in Indian Innings was
they were playing with lot more confidence after winning their 5
day matches and at the same time they were maintaining their Run
rate which they normally don't do. Lakshman was caught after
making good strokes. HEMANG BADANI is one guy
who has lots and lots of talents. He made a Century in the Second
One Day. A very good player and i thing the selection committee
must give him more chances. SHEWAG and DAHIYA are another two
young players who can give everything to Indian cricket. This was
displayed in the First one day International ! India made a huge
score of 315 which was the highest score by Indians against
Australia. It was a total display of high class cricket and Class
batting by the Indian Cricket Team
Australia's Promising bowlers like Glen Mc Grath and
Shane Warne were taken for ride by Strong Indian Batsmen
who smashed them everywhere which we don't see anywhere in the
world. My mind felt really happy to see the Indian Batsman
comeback ! . It was so nice to see them perform so well after all
the controversy that was going against the Cricket team in India.
POOR
UMPIRING:
Australia was set to chase a heavy target of 316 in 50
over's which is a big task that too after TWO Test match
loss. Mathew Hayden who was picked only for the 5 day match was
picked for the one 
day series too because of his great series against
India in 5 day matches. He was strong in his shots. But Mark
Waugh didn't bat for a while and so was Pointing. Then came the
Danger man BEVAN. But no one was not able to really make a
Impression except for Hayden. POOR umpiring was
one of the reason. I think STEVE WAUGH was not Out he was given
out. I thing Mc Grath was not out and he was given out. But
anyhow chasing a target of 315 is a big task ! India won the
match comfortably.
SECOND
ONE DAY IN PUNE:
Both the Australian team and Indian team are in the process of
proving the world what is CLASS Cricket means. I think for the
past One month both the teams has displayed a high quality of
Cricket to the world. I don't think a Class team like Australia
can be beaten for the Fourth Consecutive time. The answer for
their loss was answered in the Second one day match against India
in Pune. Again it was a sold out crowd in India's New Technology
City of PUNE! HEMANG BADANI a new Left Hander from Tamil
Nadu proved his best by scoring a Century against strong
Cricket team like Australia. Skipper GANGULY went scoring only 4
Runs! I think he needs to concentrate on Cricket rather than
anything! Australia was asked to chase a total of less that 250
runs which is a piece of Cake for a team like Australia.
MARK WAUGH made it easy for the team as they won the match by 8
Wickets.
What ever may be ! Both the team has displayed a high quality of
Cricket ! Its really nice to see the support Public give for the
game of Cricket. I think each and every citizen in India must
give importance to our national Sports like how people in
USA give importance to Foot Ball and Basket Ball. After
all these Controversy against the players its nice to see Cricket
coming out big again. I will be back with more updates on the Third,
Fourth and Fifth One day match.
