K. BAGYARAJ Presents "IDHU NAMMA ALLU". My Second review on Lollu Classic Collections. BAGYARAJ another Legend in Tamil Cinema. A very talented Director. A guy who attaracted Thousands of "THAI KULAMS" around the world with his famous "MURANGA KAYE" JOKE and also said to the world what a "MURANGA KAYE" can do to a guy. A person who was introduced VIYAGARA Tablet in our tamil movies in early 80's. Enjoy my Review on one of his Hits K.BAGYARAJ As a MYLAPORE IYER, SHOBANA, MANOHARAMMA, KUMARI MUTHU in "IDHU NAMMA ALLU".

STORY:

Any BAGYARAJ story will have a message. You can laugh for 2 Hours in his movies and a Strong Climax for 1/2 Hour will end his movies with all the females sitting in the theatre will really Cry seeing their Sweet hero.I really Appreciate the way he says his message to the people.

BAGYARAJ comes to MADRAS from a village in search of a decent job and who has done his B.A. His aim is to earn some money and to fix his moms(MANORAMA) eyes. He roams here and there and sleeps under a ALAMARAM. All that he was able to get is a "SUNDAL SALES MAN" job that too only when he acts as an MYLAPORE IYER BOY. But our BAGAYRAJ is from a Traditional BARBER FAMILY who first hates to act as an IYER but later accepts it. One must see BAGYARAJ coming out of that "MYLAPORE KULAM" wearning VESTI, 3 PATTA THIRU NOOR and not knowing how to wear a "POO NOOL" and somehow wearing it seeing a VINAYAGAR statue and saying "MAMI ANTHA 5B BUS ENGA POGUM" Superb Bagayaraj.

BAGYARAJ goes with another FOUR IYERS to do some YAGAM in SHOBANA'S Place. SHOBANA's Father SREENIVASA IYER is a traditional IYER guy who strictly follows all MANDRAMS etc etc. Our BARBER SHOP GUY enters that house to say "GANAPATHY MANDRAM and GAYATHRI MANDRAM". All that he knows is One single word "SWAHA"! The way he reacts to get "PANJA PATHIRAM", "KOMIYAM" for that YAGAM and stand in front of SHOBANA and asking for "PANJA PATHIRAM" holding his hands and asking her in "IYER SLANG"

BAGYA i think you are the only person so far who can make us cry by making us laugh. !!!

Bagya gets caught by our SREENIVASA SASTRIGAL and he asks him to say "SUK LAM BARADAM" and all that comes out of our Bagyaraj mouth will be "SWAHA SWAHA SWAHAA SWAHA" seeing SHOBANA at one eyes and Seeing her father in another eyes !! One must see his reaction when he was caught RED handed ! with his Plain Glass and with his DADI and POO NOOL !! Hamma I cannot Stop laughing !

Slowly our BAGYARAJ gets into SHOBANA's house explaining his situation and taking care of things with her father. Her father gives him a small guest house. Each and every single action he does in that movie as an IYER and slowly getting hold of SHOBANA's mom talking in IYER Slang

etc My God i cannot take any more laugh, Thanks BAGYARAJ for making me mad! A Love Develops between SHOBANA and BAGYA slowly. SHOBANA after seein our BAGYA's innocent acting and his funny nature she things that he is the right guy for her. A Beautiful Dream song by SHOBANA sung by "CHITRA" (An Article about CHITRA is coming soon in LOLLU EXPRESS) comes and makes us float in LOVE DREAMS. The song is

KOTUNGA KOTUNGA GUMIYA KOTUNGA NERAM NALLA NERAM ..... ( Aha what a Song. Thanks CHITRA)

One Speciality of BAGYARAJ movies is the way our BAGYARAJ dances. Almost all dream songs he will come with a Coolers which will be either RED, ORANGE or BLUE in color. He will be wearing a White Pant and Red shirt and He dances in a funny way doing all sorts of excercise with his left leg going to right and right leg going to left and one hand holding his coolers .... After a while he will be clapping both the hands with his left leg in air. "I even Started beating my Room Mate" ! I cant take anymore laugh. Thanks again BAGYA!!

The story gets its actual color when SREENIVASA Sastri sees his Daughter hugging BAGYA ! After a big debate he agrees for the Marriage thinking that BAGYA is an IYER BOY! He arranges for a Duplicate Mom and Dad and gets his marriage fixed. There comes a Bomb His orginal Father and Mom (MANORAMMA and KUMARI MUTHU) comes there and Says that they belong to a BARBER FAMILY !!

SHOBANA's father who is a Traditional IYER GUY who does not even touch some one who is not an IYER gets a Promise from BAGYA RAJ that he must not Touch his DAUGHTER. Our BAGAYA keeps the Promise!! The movie runs for 1/2 hour in the same old BAGRYARAJ style of SHOBANA inviting him to have MATTER but Our BAGYA maintaining a distance.. with a Dream song etc. and the story ends with a good CLIMAX as BAGYARAJ explains to SHOBANA's father that Everyone are the same and he Accepts BAGYARAJ at last!!!!

BAGYARAJ:

Started his career as Assistant Director to Baradiraja. Got introduced as an actor in "PUDIYA VARPUGAL" and slowly started to direct his own movies. A man who attracted FEMALE crowd in 80's. The way he takes his movie is very simple. He never complicates things and never takes a movie with too much inner Loops. He started with his Super hit movie "MUNDANAI MUDUCHI" ! All his movies will be comedy oriented and the CLIMAX will say some thing to people like "ANTHA 7 NATKAL" ! "INRU POYE NALAI VAA" . Almost all of his movies were dubbed in HINDI and those hindi people made big money just because they have larger audience! One good example is "BETA" which was a super hit movie was a remake of our BAGYARAJ and RADHA movie "ENGA CHINNA RASA"

His Double meaning JOKES for sure is a PLUS.His "MURUNGA KA" joke in "MUNDANAI MUDUCHI". After that joke MURUNGA KA Price went up by 5 RS. He gave a new meaning for MURUNGA KA. He never Expose an heroin but the way he puts his dialoge really tempts any one. I still remember my Amma and Appa used to go to BAGYARAJ movies and they will never take us to the theatre. BAGYARAJ for sure is a LEGEND and One of the best directors we ever had in TAMIL CINEMA FIELD!!!! Hope BAGYARAJ will read this review.

SHOBANA:

Seeing Talented artist these days is like seeing a JORDAN in NBA. SHOBANA is one such cream. She was never a super star in TAMIL but i think she was wasted. A good Dancer. Her height is a real plus! HIPS, LIPS 'nu ORU RANGE LE IRUPPA!! In this movie she comes with a Glass (IYER MAMI GLASS) and has done a good job. Especially that SONG COMPETITION between SHOBANA and BAGYARAJ

"SANGEEDAM PADA GANAM ULLAVARGAL VENDUM"

Our BAgya will be hanging around with Accused Drum players and SHOBANA in her own style singing that song. I really felt that she was wasted.

I really think Movie Review Readers will be happy that i have written a review on BAGYA RAJ's movie. BAGYARAJ has stopped producing movies. We love you BAGYARAJ and we want u again. What a message to PUBLIC in this movie. Not only in this in each and every movie he acted. I grade this movie to be a SUPER DUPER HIT MOVIE and the movie gets 95/100 for its comedy track, For the excellent and innocent acting of K.
