IRANIYAN - New Tamil Movie Review by Prabhu

SET UP OF THE MOVIE :
A person who is fighting against a land lord who treats the village people as slaves ! Here MURALI is the hero and RAHUVARAN is the land lord ! A small dry village with lots and lots of PERISUS and PATTIS ! The same old set up with a well which has no water, Dry trees, three donkeys, two monkeys, two cows which can milk only 250ML of milk in one month ! Since the cow is able to milk only 250ML of milk the people in village have decided to take 'Donkey Milk' (KAZUTHAI PAL) instead on cows milk ! Father beating wife, Kids eating Sand, worms and playing DAYAPAS, PALAN KUZHI, One tea stall in which a Black and Ugly looking Tea master serving tea to the village people and three PERISUS reading "DINA THANDI" paper siting in the bench of that TEA stall as if they are waiting for PROJECTS in C++ sitting in Guest House and working for LUCENT Technologies! Also three Mentally retired (LOOSE, PAITHIYAM) roaming here And they're shouting some bullshit like "Nee than En Pondati" like AVARAMPOO "VINITH" As usual the people in the village looks dark with a brown teeth and They have decided to take bath only once in a year!

STORY :
MURALI takes on the job of making this village as a green one and give the people a new confidence! MEENA is Muralis Maman Magal and she is always dreaming about him ! The first half of the movie goes as Rahuvaran giving all sorts of trouble to village people, beating, Chasing females etc etc. The story starts when Murali happen to beat Rahuvarans Brother and Rahuvaran stopping the marriage between Murali and Meena ! Then the usual advice to the village people by Murali asking them to be bold ! Fighting against the villans, Rahuvaran killing Muralis father, Murali not coming to fathers death, Mothers Cry, Villans chasing Meena, Love sacrifice for the Village people and the village people Open their eyes and taking their revenge against Rahuvaran !! Meantime my eyes filled with water and i also throwed stones on my TV and the movie ends as Murali dies sacrificing his life for the village!

MURALI :
For a change Murali comes without MIKE or ONE SIDE LOVE !! This time it's a roudy Look which exactly suits him ! I really hate any actor or actress giving advice to Public ! But what to do we are in a situation to see what ever they do ! Murali has done a good job in this movie ! One Romance song with Meena was OK! You can expect a RAJ BABAR or RAJESH KANNA or AMITAB style romance with MURALI ! Nothing more to say !

MEENA :
My favorite artist for years. I really love to watch Meena. Unfortunately after Avai Shanmugi she is not able to get good rolls. I really hate to see Meena in Dry Characters like this ! Excellent artist not being used properly. For name sake she comes in Four songs out of which two are sad and sorry and cry songs which will suit for T.L RAJAKUMARI or NARGIS! Other than that good and calm acting as usual. She has reduced a lot. I dont know how, Looks good but sad thing is she comes in Pavadai, Thavani without make up !!

LOLLU COMMENTS :
I dont know why they kept the name as "IRANIYAN" ! I thought that the movie is related to IRAN or IRAQ war ! I even thought that "MIKE" Murali will come as SADAM HUSSAIN ! But who can ask our directors ! I think the right name for this movie will be "KANKEYAN" or KADAYAMPATIYAN" or even "GANDA MIRUGAM" would be a good title ! A good try but in how many movies we can see such kind of Blades ! We go to movies to watch heroines in Jeans, Shorts and Swim suit and heroes doing two duets and Comedy ! No one wants to watch a Documentary going to theatre ! The movie is good ! But not entertaining ! I will grade this movie to be 50/100. My only request is when selecting names for movies Please select it in our range and not to go for IRANIYAN or IRAQIYAN or SOMALIYAN or KENYAN or LIBYAN !!!! Please Please !!
