STORY:

The Story revolves in and around two Super Duper figures "Aishwarya Rai" and "Tabu". I guess this is movie than enough for any one who goes to a Tamil movie. Right from the introduction scene of the Two stars "Aishwarya" and "Tabu" till the end of the movie there is not even a single place you can say that its not catchy, its odd as both these females satisfy our Jollus with their costumes, smile and with divine Aishwarya Rai's Beauty. No Questions and No chance. The movie starts as Both these females get out of a Lotus Pond calling each other Akka.. Thangachi .... Who bothers "If it is AKKA or SOKKA .. All that matters is two Kattais coming out of the pond in a TRADITIONAL THIRUNELVELI SWIM SUIT". For those who does not know what is a THIRUNELVELI SWIM SUIT its a swim suit females wear when the Village Chappa Figures take bath in TAMIRABARANI River in Thirunelveli. Its like tying their "PAVADAI" till their Neck and calling each other PODI.... VADI ....!!! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!

Then to keep the tempo going a dream song by "Aishwarya Rai" in different costumes sung by "SADANA SARGAM" and A.R. REHMAN in action for a Viramuthu Song .... Man what else can you expect when all these combination are put together. "AISHU" doll comes in PAVADAI and DAVANI with her "MALIGAI POO" and real neat Ornaments for the super duper hit song..

Thats it man you are done, If you are a Aishwarya Fan. Take it from me they pumped out Liters and Liters of JOLLU from the theatre here in COLUMBUS, OHIO. Sad thing is SADANA SARGAM has a peculiar HINDI accent although the song was too good people felt odd. Sree Vidhya gets introduced as Mom for both Aishwarya and Tabu. Mamooty gets introduced as an Army officer who lost his leg in a war and Ajit gets introduced as an assistant director who is struggling to find his way in movie industry. Ajit who meets Tabu falls in Love with her. Then the usual Romeo, Juliet formulae of Tamil movies like AJIT wearing a Rajastan Dress in a desert an excellent song by ................. remembers us SARATH KUMAR and NAGMA. He is the only person in the world who exactly fits for these kind of Desert/Rajastan style Dance and can build Pyramids on Nagma's Hip. Kanravi da swamy !!!! I hope he will do it in his next movie.

Mamooty who falls in one side love with Aishwarya Rai seeks help from Manivannan to set up Aishwarya. But Aishwarya whose dream is to fall in love with some one who she really likes and dreams about him every day. Suddenly one day our "ALL INDIA USSSS PARTY PRESIDENT" ABBAS comes floating in a river with a black Jeans and Black T-Shirt. Everyone in the theatre started shouting "Who Is this AMBALAI and USSSSSSSSSSSS" and lifts Aishwarya Rai like "PANDIYARAJAN lifts "KOLANKUDI KARUPAYEE" in "ANNPAVAM" and both of them exchange "BARADHIYAR Songs" which literally brought nothing but irritation. I don"t find any reason why BARADHIYAR songs are needed to say their love. Both Ajith and Abbas Promise Tabu and Aishwarya that they will go to Madras and Marry them ASAP. Mamooty is left over with his broken heart who cant impress Aishwarya !!

Here comes the twist in the movie. The House in which they were staying goes to "NIZALGAL" RAVI and Sree Vidhya, Aishwarya and Tabu gets kicked out and they move to Madras in search of new life. Mamooty helps them in all way for the family to get settled. TABU joins a Software Development firm as a Receptionist and then becomes a DEVELOPER 2000 and FORMS 6.0 specialist as her Boss RAHUVARAN thinks that she is a better DEVELOPER 2000 programmer. Aishwarya joins a singing troop and becomes famous. Meanwhile ABBAS financial company closes down and he is forced to marry a Politician sister. AJIT becomes a big director. Aishwarya falls in love with Mamooty who is with the family when they were down.

Rahuvaran promotes TABU from DEVELOPER 2000 Programmer to DEVELOPER 3000 Programmer and asks her to leave Chennai to California. I think these days going to California is like going to GUMMUDYPOONDY in Tamil movies like a Boss asking the Office boy to book a ticket to California as if he is going to book a Evening show for some Ramarajan Movie. Again a over projected Software engineer scenes in this movie like talking about finishing Projects in One week to satisfy clients in USA and the office boy serving Pizza in each table. After four years of my life in USA I still eat 'THYIR SADAM' and 'LEMON SADAM' in my office. I dont know what project they develop and what is PIZZA going to do with Software development cycle. The movie ends as Ajit becomes a successful director and Marries Tabu and Mamooty marries Aishwarya!

MAMOOTY:

Probably the best actor in the whole movie was MAMOOTY and RAHUVARAN with their touch of class between Show Dolls although MAMOOTY looks like a Person who puts "NENDRAN KAYE CHIPS IN KOTTAYAM, KERALA". (KOTAYAM LE NENDRAN KAYE CHIPS PODARAVAN MADIRI IRUKAN). I still remember when i went to KERALA for a trip I exactly saw a person like MAMOOTY who was putting chips in the hot coconut oil. They both over came in between the divine beauty of Aishwarya and Tabu. He comes as an Army officer and a supportive member of a struggling family who cant express his love and feeling sorry when ABBAS and Aishwarya exchanges BARADHIYAR songs and begging MANIVANNAN for some ideas to get rid of ABBAS and replace him in AISHU's heart. Especially that "KANAM BOCHI ENADA SONG" ...... MAMOOTY stands apart.

RAHUVARAN impressed the crowd with his Software Manager Looks with his Tie and Arrow shirt with a manager smile and talking about Developer 2000 Project. Man he is the actor of Kodambakkam and in a side angle he looks like Bill Gates, He is a great actor.

AJIT & ABBAS :

Ajit did his job as usual shaking his hips like "THANJAVUR BOMMAI" dancing with TABU in "RAJASTAN, UZBEGISTAN, KAZAGASTAN" deserts as usual. Now we will come to "ALL INDIA USSSSSSS PARTY PRESIDENT" ABBAS. I dont have anything against Abbas. Let me say something! ABBAS came on screen and the whole theatre started to shout

"HE IS THE MAN" "HE IS THE MAN".. USSSSS USSSSSS etc etc. He exactly looks like a "FEMALE FROM BOMBAY WITH A bop hair cut". (BOMBAY KARIKU BOP VETNA MADIRI IRRUKAN".
In one song he comes with a Black Chudidhar and I was shocked to see two females dancing together. I think directors in Kodambakkam can use him for some Female characters or for some Dual role !! No Acting, No Expression and all that is left over is Irritating USSSS USSSS sound from audience.

AISHWARYA RAI & TABU:

Now lets come to the stars who are talked about. AISHWARYA is a divine beauty we have in our industry. She is the most beautiful actress in this whole world. After seeing Juliya Roberts, Sharone Stone I think Aishwarya is far far better than these Hollywood stars. Right from her Iruvar, her Make up less action in TAAL, her Rajastani character in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam till todays Meenu Character in "Kandukondain Kandukondain" she is simply superb. Her dance movements in her Lehanga choli that too a grand grand one makes the audience to fill the theatre with liters of jollu. I bet even if a 60 years old Perisu looks at Aishwarya he will for sure fall for her. Especially in that "Konjum Mainakale .... Song" Man she was simply superb. We are fortunate to see a model turning into an actress and i think she is the only female model in the industry to act continiously. act continuously without any break. One thing i was amazed to see is her dressing. I dont know and I really dont know what to write after seeing her. Her structure is the best i have ever seen in movies. Tall, Speaking eyes with her, neat and sharp face .... Acting was ok and who really cares for acting when a barbie doll comes before you. I love Aishu Doll and I hope she acts in more movies and be a feast for Indian Movie and cine lovers.

TABU was simply superb in acting. She has done her job with lots and lots of involvement. One thing that was odd was AJIT paired for TABU. She looks little older but acting was simply superb. I think artist like TABU must not be wasted. I saw a movie called POLICE KILLADI recently and she was just the actress we want in our industry. In this movie she comes as a Family head and sister of Aishwarya ! Great job although she does not suit for duets that too with AJIT KUMAR.

A.R. REHMAN, VAIRAMUTHU & SONGS:

The Songs in this movie are the best we have heard for a long long time. Of course 'Alaipayudhe' was yet another hit with the same magical combination of A.R. REHMAN, VAIRAMUTHU. Especially that "KANDUKONDAIN KANDUKONDAIN" by HARIHARAN. I dont know how many hits these guys can give in this competitive Musical world. If you hear these melodious songs in night for sure you will float in air. How about the New singer " SHANKAR MAHADEVAN" in that "ENNA SOLLA POGIRAI SONG" in the desert. Man when you hear these kinds of pleasant music Your mind gets cleared and it gives lots and lots of energy to us. How about CHITRA !!! My favorite singer in her "KANAM BOOCHI ENNADA EN KANNA" Song with JESUDAS. I think she must be awarded the best singer of the year for that song. Of course thanks "SADHANA SARGAM" for her "KONJUM MAINAKALE" song. But when you compare all of them I think CHITRA Is CHITRA with her melodious Sweet voice. HATS off to AR REHMAN and the MUSIC troop which worked for "KANDUKONDEIN KANDUKONDEIN" and I love to here more in future from AR REHMAN.

LOLLU COMMENTS:

I would say RAJEEV MENON has succeeded in this movie. This is his Second production after is Average hit movie "Minsara Kanavu". Its not easy to make a good story with Three heroes and two heroines that too with mega stars like Mamooty, Ajith, Aishwarya and Tabu, Rahuvaran giving equal importance to everyone. To be frank Mamooty and Tabu were the best among all of them with RAHUVARAN giving good support with his majestic smile ! I dont know from where RAHUVARAN got his acting talent. People start to scream when they see RAHUVARAN on screen.

Aishu was so beautiful and Rajeev Menon has captured her Frame by Frame ! I think Aishu's fans must get a DVD of this movie ! I dont know what do say ! She is the best. I would love to see another "HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM" in tamil and Aishu doing that NIMUDA NIMUDA song ! That will be a feast. ABBAS was irritating with his USSSSS face and USSSSS acting and USSSSSS dressing. Songs were really cool and were pleasant to hear although the choreography was not that great. Excellent job by AR. REHMAN and Co !!!

A good movie that will for sure steal the hearts of Tamil movie fans and Aishwarya fans. "KALAIPULI S. DHANU" who was doing some crazy movie with Some Artist has come out with a good production. Lollu Express grades this movie to be an excellent movie with a cinematic touch by RAJEEV MENON and a Musical touch by AR REHMAN and a GOLDEN touch by VAIRAMUTHU although the movie will not please the THIRUNELVELI PERISUS and KADYAMPATTI KEZA BOLTS who wants RAMARAJAN to dance with Karagam and KASTURI RAJA to direct with at least five PANIYAR Scenes.
