STORY:
Watching God Movies are really funny. Lots of Crazy stuff happens in those movies like Snake Typing Leave Letter for a Small kid who does not want to go to school, Dog Saving a Kid in Water, Neam Leaves Dance with a FIRE in Hands and making Sounds like "OOOLLLLLLUUUUUUU OLLLLLLLUUUUUU" with ODUKAI in Hands and walking on those Hot
Fire, A Villain who will
have a Skull in his hand and most of the time he will be wearing
RED DRESS and will do some Pooja for 16 years etc etc. The Height
of comedy is there is a Gang nearly 50% of Movie Goers believe
all these Crazy stuff and make these movies a Super Duper hit
movie. There is a director who is very famous for making these
kinds of movies. His name is "Rama Narayanan" and
"KOTTAI MAARIYAMMAN" has all the above which Make you
laugh like anything. "Kottai Maariyamman" is related to a Goddess eye. It seems that the eye of the Goddess has lots and lots of power And in a Fight between a husband and wife the Eyes gets into a "NEAM TREE" (Veppa Maram). Roja is a devotee of Amman and she appear as AMMAN in the movie too. RAMI REDDY is the villain who wants the Eyes so that he can become A Super power in the world. He meditates for 16 long years so that he will gain some extra power to fight with the Goddess. "Devayani" is another Devotee of the God and her Husband Karan ill-treats her and so is Karan's sister "Yuvarani". Devayani Daughter is Daughter/Goddess.
Karan's is projected as a cruel villain who slaps his wife and will do everything for money. He has business dealings With many people around the world and his main exports are to London, Switzerland, Holland, Poland etc etc. One of his Business partner in UK asks for "KOTTAI MARRIYAMMAN"s Eyes and they were ready to pay 10 Million dollars for the eyes. So Karan becomes greedy and goes to the village for the eyes and when he nears the NEAM TREE and try's to get hold Of the eyes an ELECTRIC CURRENT of 10,000 VOLTS passes from Goddess eyes to KARAN's hands. He later understands that he needs more power to get the eyes and so he gets hold of RAMI REDDY to get the eyes who is also looking for the SAME GODESS EYES.
In the meantime Devayani Wife of KARAN who is a Devotee of the Goddess "MARIYATHAA" plans to do "PAL ABHISHEKAM". YUVARANI stops her and gets the milk from her and Drinks it and gives KEROSENE to her to do a "KEROSENE ABHISHEKAM". God who is watching all these things shuffles KEROSENE and PAL! Magane! Idu Ellam Konjam Over da !!! The next time it's a "KUZU" Fight. Devayani plans for a "MARIYATTHA KUZU" and she makes it with RICE and "KAMBU". When she takes it to God to serve God with KUZU, Yuvarani stops her and asks her to Sever Chinese Noodles, Fried Rice, and Chicken with Broccoli to "Mariyattha". So the god gets really angry and she falls Sick with "AMMAI" (Small Pox). She then lies on Neap Leaves etc.
KARAN and RAMI REDDY works out plans to get Amman's eye and with help of RAMI REDDY's magic talents KARAN turns into a Dinosaur/Octopus to fight with Amman. It was really funny to see KARAN with Dinosaur Body and 8 Hands like Octopus fighting with God. ROJA who is the goddess throws her "VEL" on KARAN; KARAN catches that VEL and throws back on her. These scenes were really funny. For those who does not know what is meant by VEL, VEL is a IRON ROD which has Three Sharp edges which is used in GOD Movies to Kill Villains like RAMI REDDY. At last the movie ends, as KARAN understands the power of "KOTTAI MARIYAMMAN".

The movie was really funny with lots of stupid actions like KARAN having a dinosaur body with Octopus hands etc. You can sit and laugh at these movies but you have to forget logic's involved in it. Villains in these movies will be funny too. They will wear a RED Dress from top to bottom and will have a weird rough look. Normally he will be in meditation and will Have some magical power. He will laugh with a "DABRA" tone and will have a HAIRSTYLE like a Person who sells "PAL ICE In MARINA BEACH". Rama Narayanan is probably the most Successful director in Indian movie Industry. He does not take any risk in his movies and he has Two formulae for his movie. The First one is Middle Class Family movies and the next one is "Devotional God Vepa Ilayai" Thrillers. He understands his audience and takes the same movie with same story and same cast with different names and I think he is the only person who is very successful in his career doing the same thing with different names. The movie is a movie to laugh and can be watched with a bunch of guys gets 30/100
