LAS VEGAS is a Dream vacation Spot for anyone in this world. A city known for Gambling to the World. Vegas is Located in middle of Wide Spread desert in Nevada State. It’s a city known for Real High Temperatures and excellent weather Condition. Let me explain in detail about my Trip and ways to save some Dollars when you are in Vegas, Where to Stay etc. Our Trip started in the City of Columbus, Ohio. We flew from Columbus to Las Vegas In America West flight. One main thing that you want to look at is Air Ticket. I did lots of research on air ticket and the best you can fly is America West and South West Airlines as they really offer good deals on air tickets to LAS VEGAS. It was four of us and the price of the ticket Was $178? I think it was pretty cheap for flying 2000 Miles from Columbus to Las Vegas. The best
thing about this flight is it offers direct flights
from many cities in the US. We landed in LAS VEGAS Airport and we
were amazed to see the number of Taxi’s in the City. I have
never seen So many taxi in any other city in the US like Las
Vegas. There was a huge line and there were at least 500to 600
people waiting to catch a taxi. That was quiet amazing. We took a
taxi and we landed in our Hotel Room. We stayed in EXCALIBUR
which as at least 4000 Rooms to offer. One more thing that you need to watch out in VEGAS is the hotel ROOMS. One can really get a real good room from $40. One thing you want to do is stay as close to the STRIP as possible. If you are not renting a car you have to stay in the STRIP area, as cabs are really expensive. They charge for the wait time too. If you are more than 3 People I would Strongly Recommend you to rent a car. You can Get real good deals in PRICELINE Bidding To rent CARS. I made a mistake of not renting a car. We were four People and a Kid ( MY Family and My Parents). By the time we waited for CABS, BUS etc we were really tierd. The best thing is to rent a car if u is 3 or more. There is various public transportation in the city. You can ride all day for $5. You can do that if you don’t have any kids. It’s Fun too. You can book hotel Rooms by directly going to the website. We stayed in EXCALIBUR and they have a website. You can do a google search on the list of hotels and the main thing that you want to lo ok out is if the hotel is in strip especially when you don’t rent a car.
That Night we spend most of the time in our Hotel. One Interesting thing about the Hotels there is the Connection between hotels. You can land in one hotel and go to another hotel using the TRAM facility. All the Hotels are interconnected one-way or other. We were walking and we suddenly found that we landed in LUXOR. Luxor is a Beautiful Hotel and the hotel imitates Egypt's Pyramids. All the Pictures, Statues in the hotels are designed after Egypt’s Pyramids. One can’t believe whets there because you will really feel that you are in EGYPT and that too inside a Pyramid. Its so huge and its one of the biggest Lobby' s you can see in VEGAS. There are Camels in the hotel (Not Real One) But For sure that you will feel that they are real. There are lots and lots of eating place inside. If anyone is interested in nightlife that’s the place to be. Don’t forget to Charge your battery when you are in Vegas because you will end up taking Pictures everywhere and your battery will drain down soon. We came to the hotel room around 1 in the night, which is 4 AM in the morning Columbus time because of the time change.
Next day 28th APR 2005 was a Sunny day and we went out of the hotel around 9 AM in the morning. There is a Tram Service that connects EXCALIBUR, LUXOR and MANDALAY BAY. One can stay in any one of these hotels and use the tram system for no cost and go to the other two hotels. MANDALAY BAY lobby is one of a mind blowing Lobby's. You can walk and see and feel that you are in a different world. That morning we went to the SPA in our Hotel. One amazing thing about Las Vegas is the SPA treatment that they offer. If you stay in the hotel they give you guest pass that you can use to go and use their SPA. Any SPA will have a Hot water Tub, Steam Bath and a Hot Room. One can go and rest in the SPA forEver and have fun. Myself And My Dad was in the SPA for almost 2 Hours and we didn’t want to come out of the pool. Then we stopped in MGM, which is right opposite to EXCALIBUR. MGM is a well know Casino for a long time in VEGAS and it was one of the most Expensive Hotels in Vegas before all the new Casino came to the city. The best thing about Vegas is you can get all the fun you need in one Place. All the Luxury treatment one would expect in the world. There were Lion habitat in MGM Which is worth checking out. From there we went to CIRCUS CIRCUS, which is located in the other end of the Strip. The Mistake that any one must not do is going from one end of the Strip to another end. The reason is its just going to be 2 to 3 Miles but it takes almost 1 hour to reach from one end to another because of the traffic. All the Taxi’s out there will charge for Wait time too. They are very expensive. We paid almost 20$ to go from one end of the Strip to another end Because of the wait time. Normally you will not pay more than 5 $ in any other city. That’s the reason I strongly
recommend renting a Car in VEGAS. Then we walked all the way from CIRCUS CIRCUS to WYNN, LAS VEGAS. Wynn is a newest Casino Resort in Las Vegas, which offers all the luxury of a Vegas Casino plus a GOLF course. I am pretty sure that everyone will be interested to spend a Quality time with a Golf Game. Wynn offers you the luxury hotel room with Golf Course. The Hotel just opened a Week Before and we were one of the lucky people to visit the hotel. I am sorry we were one of the few Thousand of People who has Visited Wynn. Its located opposite to VENITIAN hotel and it offers a very pleasant view of the beautiful flowers around the world in the Lobby. I was just amazed to see the flowers there. So Colorful Flowers and it was really good. It’s a reall good Hotel and it’s at high-end hotel. Keep your cameras on as the hotel offers great camera a spots. The Restrooms are really amazing and I just can’t imagine how much money they would have spend on the restrooms there. We came of WYNN and we entered VENITAIN, Las Vegas. Some world famous figures come to this hotel and stay there. VENITIAN is a unique hotel there in VEGAS because of the unique thing the hotel offers. Yes it’s the GANDOLA ride within the hotel. You can ride a Gondola inside the hotel. It’s modeled after the City of Venice in Italy. It’s really beautiful. Don’t forget to walk through the Hotels Shopping complex. They have created an artificial Sky and you will really feel that you have landed in Venice. The Gondola’s in Side and all high fye Shops in the side and wonderful Italian Food and Restaurants! ! Man what else do you want in life. We really enjoyed. Myself, Priya and Parents and Sneha we had a Golden time In Venice.
Opposite to VENNICIAN is BELLAGIO, Las Vegas. It will take another two Pages If I want to write about Bellagio Hotel in Vegas. It was around 8 PM and the City was Dark. BELLAGIO offers an Unbelievable site in Vegas that no other hotel offers. Yes it’s the Water Fountain Show that the hotel offers for free to the public. Its about the size of two Foot Ball Ground and the they play a Beautiful and Soft Music and the Water goes upto almost 1000 Feet in the Air and its one of the best shows you can ever see. It’s right in front of the hotel. We then landed in CEASAR PALACE modeled after the Roman Architecture. One just have to go there and see the hotel to believe it. It’s such a beautiful Hotel. You can see The Statue of CEASAR in the Lobby. Such a huge one. I just can’t imagine how they would have made all these statues. It has a huge lobby. The shopping in this Hotel is another unbelievable one. You have all signature restaurants all over the hotel. We were interested in eating In a nice known place, as we didn’t want to take any chance. So we opted for CHEESE CAKE FACTORY, which is located inside the hotel. Its one of the fine Restaurants and a well known one. It’s located inside the hotel and we had a nice dinner. Then comes the sad part of our trip. Myself and my mom walked to a shop and so did Priya, Sneha and Dad. We missed each other in the crowd. One thing that you need to follow in VEGAS is carrying as many Cell phones as you can. It’s too crowded and people are in Lots of Excitement. There is a good chance that you will Miss each other and if you do so the only way in stay in touch is CELL Phones. After one hour of Search and Tension it came to an end as Priya borrowed a Cell Phone from some one and called me. I don’t want this to happen in your trip!! So carry Cell Phones!!! Especially When you are with a baby.
We were done for the day and we got a CAB and went back to the Hotel. The time was almost 11 in the night. Then it was Gaming Time. I like Rolette. The possibility of winning if you bet on ODD number of Even Number is 50%. You cannot loose when you bet on these combination. I was Up 200$ that night and we went to bed. One more thing that you want to know is when you are going to kids you can stay there in the floor and play. That’s one thing That you want to keep in Mind when you are going with a kid. The next day was 29th APR 2005. The day was dedicated to BELLAGIO. I have already mentioned that BELLAGIO is one hotel, which takes one whole day to see. We entered MONTE CARLO hotel, which has tram service to BELLAGIO. As soon as you get out of the Tram there is lots of Surprise Waiting for you. I have been to many Place in the US. I have traveled a lot. I am a Travel Freque. " I HAVE NOT GOT A FEELING THAT I GOT IN BELLAGIO ANY WHERE IN THE
WORLD". Not even in Niagara
Falls or when I was visiting New York. It’s a whole
different world. BELLAGIO is one unique Hotel and it’s
filled with lots of flowers. There is nowhere in the world you
can see so many flowers (Other than nature). It’s all
arranged nicely and it’s really a good site. You can walk
from one end of the hotel to another end and it will take one
whole day to see everything. They have wonderful lightings and
great Restaurants and they are always packed. They have good
shows that ranges from 100$ and Up and you have to book well in
advance to see one of the shows. BELLAGIO to me is the best hotel
I have ever visited. I can write more but I want you to
experience what I am talking! Late in the evening we went to PARIS PARIS. The hotels Architecture is based out of Buildings in Paris, France. There is a huge display of Eiffel Tower in the Hotel and there are various Restaurants. From there we went to ALADIN. It’s a Very different Desert Setup and there is lots and lots of shops out there. Everything is good and it’s really hard to compare. Then late in the evening we went to Stratosphere. It’s the only hotel in Vegas, which gives a Top View of Vegas from 1300 Feet. It’s like any other Observatory tower. The View from Top of the Building is mind blowing. The cost to ride up the tower is 10 $. Its worth if you are interested in seeing the city from top of the tower. Stratosphere is at the tail end of the Strip. We drove the bus from there to our hotel at 10 PM in the night. Again the view in Night is just mind-blowing with lots and lots of Light. We went to bed early after playing couple of throws in Casino. I was Up $100 at the end.
We vacated the hotel in Vegas and Rented a Car and Drove up to Los Angeles. It’s about 270 Miles from there. The rental Car was again a Price line bidding. I got a Full size car for 12$ a Day. I came up to 60$ for 3 Days including Taxes. When renting Car its always a good idea to Bid and rent. It’s really cheap and you can’t go wrong. The Drive from Las Vegas to Los Angeles is Dry and one must keep in mind that he has to full his tank and Take lost of Water. It’s a drive in Middle of a Desert and it’s a long drive. You can easily run of gas if you are not careful and exits are really far away. If you miss one the next one will be at least 50 miles away. We landed in Marriot, Near Los Angeles Airport. Its really cheap if you bid in price line For Hotels. I got a Room for 40$ a night in MARRIOTT. That’s really cheap. One thing in LA is parking. I had to pay 13$ per day for parking. I think its pretty cheap for a hotel room in LA Paying 53$ a night. LA is filled with beautiful beaches. We selected few of them. I would strongly recommend you to go to the following beach if you are in LA. They are Redondo Beach, Long Beach, Santa Monica Beach and Malibu Beach. Among all of them I like Redondo Beach. Its really nice beach. Its not only the beach the city of Redondo Beach is very pretty. The House that are in top of the mountain are mind blowing. They are very expensive house and the view from top is really good. Don’t Miss Redondo Beach if you are in LA. The next day we went to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS and HOLLYWOOD. We visited the place where I stayed in LA and took few pictures. Universal Studios is one Fun place to visit if you are in LA. I have covered enough in my previous article about LA.
