LITTLE JOHN" A New Tamil Movie Review By Your Prabhu.

Bentley Mitchum, "Super Heroine" Jothika, "Atlanta" Ashwin, Anupam Kher, "Half Crack & AARVA KOLARU" Prakash Raj, "Doordharshan News Fame" Fathima Babu in a New Tamil Hit movie "Little John". STORY:.

LITTLE JOHN is a movie which would have been a great one if small small things were fixed. Its completely a different movie with the same old "MANDRAWADI" Story. The highlight of the movie was the introduction of a Foreign actor in the movie and the movie runs without a feeling that some one who does not belong to KOLLYWOOD is acting in the movie. I think Bentley Mitchum did a great job in this movie..

John comes from USA to do research on Ancient Temples and GODs in India and to know more about them. He stays in Jothika's house as Jothika's brother is his friend in USA. The Initial scenes in the movie were really sweet. John who is an American talks fluent Tamil with a Western accent which was really cool. One must really appreciate the background voice given to John in this movie. Cool Job. Jothika who gets to know John in course of time falls in Love with John. When she says her Love to her Parents they get irritated. They argue with her how she can marry an American. The highlight of them is expressing Her Love to John after saying it to her parents. John meets "ALL IN ALL AZAGURAJA" Anupam Kher to know about the AMMAN "Mookkuththi" which is preventing the World from Evil Forces..

Half Crack "Prakash Raj" gets intoruduced as the Evil force in this movie who does Pooja for 1000 Years to get that "Mookkuththi" from Amman's Nose. So he send his Adiyal "Kutty Pisasu" to earth to get that one. During the mission that "Mookkuththi" gets lost and the village think that it was John who should have taken it.So to save JOHN from them and from the evil Force "ARVA KOLARU" Anupam Kher Shrinks John to 10 CMS. Jothika and other think that JOHN stole the "Mookkuththi" and went off. Meanwhile her parents arrange for Jothika's marriage. Then the real fun starts. Although this is very common for us in lots and lots of "MANDRAWADI" movies, JOHN did the character up to expectation and in a very funny and professional way which was really enjoyable. Then JOTHIKA takes the task of bringing him back to his original size. Anupam says that it can be done only when the "Mookkuththi" reaches AMMAN's Nose. So John gets back the Mookkuththi with difficulties. The story ends as the evil force dies and John returns to his original size and joins Jothika..

BENTLEY MITCHUM & JOTHIKA:.

Bentley comes out with an outstanding performance in this movie. It was really cool to watch him talking Tamil in this movie. No over acting and he acted in such a way that we didn't feel any difference between Hollywood actor and Kollywood actor. Great Job. Especially the scene in which Jothika express her love before her parents and the way he takes it was really a nice one..

Jothika is improving a lot both in her looks, Acting. She is known for her "Nakal" Thuru Thuru action and she has proved it again. Her "Thoppai" is getting reduced these days and she is emerging out as the No.1 Heroine in Tamil. As Bentley Stole the show there is nothing to say much about Jothika. But thecombination worked out great. One special thing about her is she does not fall under that "KUDUMBA PENN" Category nor she comes as a glamour doll..

LOLLU COMMENTS:.

The movie as such is a great entertainer although it is the regular "MANDRAVADI" Story. The movie although appeared to be "Jothika" Dominated,its not. PRAKASH RAJ is another irritating creature who has to be thrashed in Kollywood. He comes as Evil with "KOMANAM" and "Congo Forest" Costume with PREMONANDA Hair Style and irritates us saying that he is going to rule this world once he gets that "Amman Mookkuththi". This "ARVA KOLARU" did the same in his previous movie "APPU" where he comes as an "ALI". I don't know why they want to act Abnormal and spoil their own image. JOTHIKA looks cute and acts cute. She is the heroine who has improved a Lot and is the only heroine who can be considered to be a "THURU THURU CUTE" One. Little John is for sure an entertainer with lack of good graphics and little flaws. The movie is worth 50/100 for giving something different..
