Visu is a great director he is known for making family stories. Generally he takes some social issues like Dowry, Mamiyar kodumai, Marumagal kodumai, Pakkathuveetukkaranoda Onnu Vitta Machanoda Rendavadhu Samsarothoda Moonavadhu Ponnoda love affair,Stray dog menace, Kozhai Adi sandai for people who don't know what is kozhai adi sandai. In dry places like Madurai, Madras where there will be absolute water scarcity in summer so people used to ride bicycle with two plastic pots hanging on each side of the bicycle, for kilometers to get water and in that place where public tap(it is called as adi pumpu in Tamil)it will have a long handle and people have to SHAKE THE LONG HANDLE to get water! but in some places ordinary tap will be provided it is enough to rotate it to get water. There will be a huge crowd more than Crowd standing in front American Embessay to get the H1 and in that queue there will be some rowdi women who will always vilote the rule of the queue by either taking more water or by overtaking other people who are waiting before them. This seems to be a silly problem but actually this will lead to exchange of vulger words! One can hear all possible worst words in these places from the mouth of the so called pathinigal. He creates a mess out of it and solves it himself!

For people who don't know visu he is the tall person with grey hair who conducts Arattai Arangam in SunTV every sunday @ 11:00 am ist. In that program you can see thaikulam sentiment/appa sentiment/amma sentiment/naikkutty sentiment/poonai & eli sentiment etc...there were times when people used to hug each other and cry(anandha kanner)!Makkal romba unarchi vasa padaranga. The speciality of the program is he supresses his quality that is he is a person who always keeps talking and will never listen but in this program he allows others to talk and he listens!

STORY:

The story is very simple there is a young guy(S.Ve. Sheaker) by name Kittu Mani employed in a decent position. He decides to get married after lot of persuations from his sister(Manoramma) but he puts 8 conditions for the female whom he is going to tie the knot! His sister is not able to find a match for him. So Kittu Mani entrusts the responsibility of finding a girl to his family friend by name Naradhar Naidu (Visu) who takes care of Kittu Mani's ansestoral properties. Visu finds a girl by matching the horoscope rather than the conditions put forth by Kittu Mani. Visu stages a drama and makes Kittu Mani to marry her. Later after marriage Kittu Mani comes to know the truth that the girl does not meet any of his expectations and Visu as usual solves the problem and eventually he gets trapped in this and he is forced to go out of the family.

The best part to be really appreciated is the screen play and dialogs.Visu is responsible for both he has done a great job. Though it is a low budget film but it was a great commercial success. The scenes like where he critcises the conditions of S.Ve. Shekar, where he visits the girl's house to talk about the marriage, after marriage when Kittu Mani comes to know the truth and his Brother In Law tries to convince him was well taken. Great Job Visu.

VISU:

Apart from directing the film visu has really acted well. The justification he gives for getting Sheaker married to the female is because of the horoscope and a sad story background. As a tamil cinema culture,a closeup shot and a flash back with 40 conditions put forth by visu, it was tolerable the height of irritation was the girl who was fixed for visu would die because visu refuses to marry her and even after 20 years visu will haveher photo in his suitcase! In that flash back one scene was really punching to convey that the girl is dead in the marriage hall, one group of workers will come and take away the Plaintain(banana trees) indicating the marriage is cancelled and another group of workers will come and drop the leafs of cocunut trees called olai meaning that a death has occured. The way he has delivered the dialogs written by him was really excellent in every scene.

S. Ve. Shekar:

As such this character does not involve a great acting talent it is enough that the person is little obstenate and who has little bit of self pride that he works for microsoft and earns in $s. Sheaker has done a great job by showing a great innocense in his face and by nature he has a great timing sense added to that the dialogs are written by Visu, the combination worked out very well. Good Job Sheaker.

Manoramma

Manoramma is a great artist she has done almost all roles possible. So needless to say "She has done a great Job"

Kishmu

Kishmu is Visu's brother, infact all the three of his brothers have acted in this movie(Kishmu, Rajamani and Suryagose Ranga). One Who comes as Manoramma's husband is Kishmu, the way he bends his body and moves his hands and delivers dialogs were really excellent. Another as a deaf father(Rajamani) of the female to whom kittu mani gets married. The way Manoramma's husband talks to the deaf guy showing expressions was excellent. Another guy Ranga comes as S.Ve.Sheaker's Machan son of the deaf guy.

Dilip

He comes as Thangappan S.ve.Sheaker's friend and does practically nothing. So its not worth reviewing his acting. But in one scene knowing that Dilip is also part of the Trap S.Ve. Sheaker shouts saying "U too Brut US" was good. It appears as if he comes just to listen to this. He is used for one of the conditions of Kittu Mani.

Punching Scenes & ANANDS COMMENTS:

1. The way visu and kishmu talks to the deaf person and says "Nan Naradhar Naidu Uma oda kalyanatha pathi pesa vandhu irukkom inga Manikkamngaradhu Yaru" and the samething Manoramma's husband repeats in a very high tone then that deaf person says that ippothan edho solla vareengannu theriudhu ana ennannu theriyalai konjam sathama pesunga! makes people laugh like mad and visu tries to explain him using expression and gets pissed off and retailates saying enna oru oru vishayathaium solradhukku baradhanattiyama ada mudium was great. The way Manoramma's Husband says "Kittu Mani ombodhavadha oru condition pottu irukkalam varapora mamanarukku kadhu kekkanumnnu indha aaloda mannada ennala mudiyadhu" to Visu was great.

2. The way Manoramma's husband conveys S.Ve. Sheaker's conditions to visu and says "Ivan sandhoshama Vasicha sandhoshama adanum sogama vasicha sogama adanum "and visu says that kizhinjadhu Kishmu retaliates saying Kizhinjalum adanum was great sense of humour.

3. The way S.Ve.Sheaker comes to know the shocking news that his wife is just an SSLC fail was very well taken in that a kezhavi who couldn't attend the marriage says this.

4. The way S.Ve.Sheaker's brother in law tries to convince S.ve.Sheaker on the road and he goes out. and in a hotel toilet mistaking another BIL(actually hidden from him) as the one known he talks "Cigaretta Pidikkara"and gets slaps properly. After that that guy meets his sister and a great samalification. S.ve.Sheaker says "Eppovum Veshtil varavan ippo enna bayamurutharadhukkunne pant shirtla vandhu irukkan" was great.

5. The way S.Ve.Sheaker unfolds and refolds the bed. He and his wife are not in good terms but the situation forces them to stay in the same house and she comes and folds his bed as soon as he gets up and he unfolds and refolds again and says "Than kaiye thanakku udhavi!" was great.

6. The innocense of Manoramma's husband was portrayed nicely in the scene where he talks about his wife's pregnency to Visu infront of a third person (Dilip) was great. Also right from the Garderner to the Scavenger working in his Manager's house will advice S.Ve.Sheaker about leading a peaceful family life was excellent and his ego not to listen to them was great. The moral of the story is "Who ever be ur wife try to be happy with her don't expect the heavens from the female".

Now comming to evaluate the movie this is a great entertainer if U don't look at any logic and laugh for 2.5 hrs this is one of those kind and it is worth 75 to 80/100(Prabu pls decide on this).
