"MUGAM" - NEW TAMIL MOVIE REVIEW BY YOUR "Prabhu"

NASSAR, ROJA, MANIVANNAN stars a different Story "MUGAM". Music by ILAYARAJA. Produced by a New face. A Very different Master piece again by NASSAR. Enjoy My movie review.

STORY :
NASSAR is an UGLY LOOKING guy lives in a Poor Neighborhood with a real UGLY hair style and Pimples all over the face. All that he gets from his friends and Neighbors is a strange look. Before saying anything i really want to thank the "MAKE UP" man. I think he has gone one step above HOLLYWOOD Standards. NASSAR goes to PEAK and really impressed me when ever he feels and think about his UGLY FACE. Especially the Scene he Stands before a Mirror and Cry and Laugh seeing his face !!!! A Female who lives in the same colony gives him food everyday and NASAR thinks that she is in LOVE and says his LOVE to her. But all that he got from that Female is "FOR LOVE YOU NEED TO HAVE SOME GOOD FACE" !! and Don't go into some Imagination !!!

MANIVANNAN, who works as a MAKEUP MAN gets a chance for NASAR to act in one movie. It seems they need a UGLY person to act. The movie get released and during the PREVIEW show he gets Slapped by the audience and everyone commenting that "WHY THE HELL THIS UGLY GUY ACTED IN THE MOVIE" !!

One fine day he finds a MASK in his Trunk box. He wears it and changes his face. It was a little bit of GAPSA but considering the story line and Class Acting its really acceptable. He becomes a big star in few days. People just wanting to see his FACE in the screens. The same mouth which ditched him stands in line for his call sheet. But NASSER again touches his PEAK ACTING again going in front of MIRROR and Laughing and crying. He meets ROJA who just wants to get married to him because of his FACE that MASK FACE !! NASSAR feels that he is missing something the TRUE LOVE OF MANIVANNAN who was with him when he was UGLY and the story ends as NASAR says to the world that no one respects the HEART of a PERSON all that they see is the FACE and JUDGE people ....

NASAR :
I think he is a CLASS actor in the industry. He has acted to such an extent that no one can question him. NASAR must be given good rolls and the main thing is People has to appreciate his efforts and make these kind of movies a big hit. "AVATHARAM" did u guys see it. If not Please see it. Only a few actors can really impress the audience. As an AUTHOR of an express and a FAN of INDIAN CINEMA, I would consider a movie to be a HIT ONLY WHEN I FEEL SOMETHING OUT OF IT. It may be Sadness, Humor, Acting anything that make you feel that its different. Right from his start of acting career he has proved to be the best. Keep it up NASAR and hope our Award Department keeps you in mind.

MANIVANNAN, ROJA, VIVEK :
There was no chance given to any of the above to act or do something. Might be i was too much involved in NASAR's acting. To be frank no one can stand before NASAR or they were not given a chance to prove themselves. But Manivannan has done a good job in this movie as a character artist rather than irritating us with his stupid jokes. ROJA and VIVEK comes in couple of scenes but nothing great.

LOLLU COMMENTS :
We are very much used to watching TWO FIGHTS, THREE SONGS, ONE RAIN SONGS, NO STORY, MOTHER CENTIMENT, HERO CHASING VILLAN, VILLAN SHOOTING, etc etc etc and suddenly when we see some thing good or different we are not able to take it or we really feel afraid to take it because we think that People will think odd about us if we say that Movies like "MUGAM" or "AVATHARAM" is good. Come to Light and feel it and you can really feel the greatness of this movie.

I also want to list some negative things about this movie. Too much of NASAR was odd. They must have given equal importance to all the characters like they did to REVATHY in AVATHARAM, Comedy track must be a must in movies like this. Other than that I think this movie is a MASTER PIECE and I am really happy that People like NASAR and KAMAL are still there to give us something different. I grade this movie to be and EXTRAORDINARY MOVIE with NASAR doing SUPERB JOB. I grade this movie to be 80/100 .

Thalaivare... Kalakitaenga ponga.... It was nice to see a review without much galeej(for a change) But the fact is that can these things happen in real life??.... Tell me if any girl in our lollu community marry either Usilamani or Senthilor even Kullamani. No, Nehi, Ledhu, Illa, Or will you or myself marry eitherGandimathi or abithakujalaambal or Kullankudikarupaayi. So it makes sense machi.How can you do anything
when you see such a nasty face. We need a "sumarana" face likeAishwarya rai. What do you say?? .
