STORY:
NANDHA can be renamed as DHALAPATHI PART 3 as DHALAPATHI PART 2 was already released in the name of "DHEENA" an Ajith Kumar Starter. I think in Kollywood its "MOTTAI" season. If someone wants to act in a different Role or Different character all that they do is go to a barber shop and shave their head and grow it for 1/2 inch and wear a Blue Color Contact Lens and call themselves as "NANDHA" or "DHEENA". Obviously Only Super Star "RAJINI KANTH" can give that Quality in acting and
Keeping
the Audience down without shaving his head. I watched this movie
with overexpectaion because i Loved "BALA's" SETHU a
masterpiece and I expected something similar to SETHU in his
second production "NANDHA" . The Story starts as NANDHA
kills his dad because he was having Fun with his SET UP WIFE and
not taking care of his mom. He goes to "Child Correction
Center" and spends another 10 Years in Jail. His mom Rajasri
doesn't go to the correction Center to see him for 10 years
because she is a kind of Female who believes in
"KALL ANNALUM KANAVAR, PULL ANALUM PURUSHAN" concept
and all those things. NANDHA gets out of the Correction center
and rushes to his Village to See his Mom but she refuses to see
him as she is still thinking about her Good For nothing Husband
who used to "JALASA" with Other girls. The Scene in
which "NANDA Meets in mom was too much". So he stays
away from his Mom and he goes to nearby college with the help of
"RAJ KIRAN" a Village head. In college he saves girls
from "Rowdies" from Ragging etc and gets attention of
RAJ KIRAN who believes in the Same Concept of that of NANDHA that
is Kick everyone if there is some thing wrong. A Group from Sri Lanka Lands in their village. Raj Kiran and Surya helps them out for their Shelter where he Meets "LAILA" and falls in love with her. Laila first Fears to talk with Surya as he appears to be a rowdy and later fall in Love with him. The movie runs like this as NANDHA becomes an "ADIYAL" for RAJ KIRAN who does anything for good of people like how RAJINI becomes a Good Friend of "MAMOOTY" in DHALAPATHI. The Scenes and Photography and everything were just a Replay of DHALAPATHY. Later Raj Kiran gets killed in a hospital by his close relative and Nandha Gets mad. He chases him and Kills him because he was considering Raj Kiran as his dad. He then gets out of Jail, as there was no evidence. Now the Climax. His Mom who was not talking to him for 10 years suddenly accepts him. Then the usual TAMIL CINEMA Dialog. "AMMA UN KAYALE ORU VAYE SORU UTTU AMMA". Mom hears his son's Desiere of serving him some food Mixes Some "Cockroach Poison" in his food and serves him with Soup and Salad. That's it man Surya eats Soup and Salad like what we used to have in "OLIVE GARDEN" and when time comes for Man Course he Eats that "BAYER BAGON BAY" Poison and dies. Mom Rajasri dies too eating the same food and leave "LALIA and his sister alone". !!!
SURYA, LAILA:
NANDHA was the most expected movie for Surya. Other than his "Mottai" and few good expression in the movie there was
nothing special.
I think Young Hero's like SURYA or AJITH or PRASANTH must
concentrate more on Love Subjects like "ONE SIDE
LOVE", "TWO SIDE LOVE", "THREE SIDE
LOVE" rather than acting in Heavy role with MOTTAI.
Its kind of funny when these guys give hard expressions. One
cannot stand AJITH's Hard role in CITIZEN and Nandha is no
Exception. But a good try. I would rather see him dancing with
Jothika rather than having a Hard romance with LAILA. Raj Kiran
was good. I think he is having a good come back these days. His
recent "PANDAVAR BHOOMI" was touch of
class and he managed to maintain the same in this movie too.
LAILA is one actress who looks good in one angle and who looks
horrible in another angle. She comes as a Sri Lankan Refugee and
talks Sri Lankan tamil. As the movie progress she forgets that
she is from Sri Lanka and talks in Saidapet Tamil. I don't
understand this logic at all. LOLLU COMMENTS :
I expected much more from this movie. I loved BALA's direction touch in SETHU. This movie cannot be compared to SETHU by any means. I think the director desided to make a movie like DHALAPATHI and asked SURYA to act in it. He choose RAJ KIRAN for Mamooty role and LAILA for Shobana role and Rajasri for SREE VIDHYA role. Although Surya shined in many places there was nothing special. I am not getting bored with MOTTAI roles and we want to see something normal Like "KAMAL" in AVAI SHANMUGI. This is the third movie I saw among the movies that was released this Diwali and NANDHA is another Disappointment. Although the movie is doing good in India its just the Hype that was given to the movie. One another thing to mention in this movie was "Loduku Pandiyan" a Crack that roams with Nandha character in the movie did a good job. Till the End of the movie no one knows whether "Nandha" is a Hero or Villian or a Mental Guy. The Character does not get any sympathy for what he does. Photography was pleasing and couple of songs was really good ! Other than that nothing special. The movie gets 45/100 for few good acting and good direction in few places. SETHU which got 100/100 from lollu express gets 45/100 for the second Production "NANDHA".
