STORY:

Before reading this review you must first understand what is meant by "18 PATTI". I watched nearly 50 Movies till today and the term "18 PATTI" comes quite often and especially in SARATH or VIJAYAGANTH movies this Dialog must come at least 20 times. A Old "JACKET LESS" female will come and say "ENTHA 18 PATTIKU THIRPU SOLRA RASA ENGA RASA" . The word "PATTI" in tamil movies means "CORPORATION or COUNTY" like COLUMBUS CORPORATION or ORANGE COUNTY . That is he is "RASA for 18 such CORPORATIONS" !!

SARATH KUMAR family is one of the respectable family and he "RASA for 18 PATTI". The Story starts as 10 Ugly looking people searching for SARATH who are waiting for a "SUPREME COURT" decision from SARATH. The introduction scene of SARATH was the ultimate comedy. First they will show a WHITE LEATHER SLIPPER made of SNAKE SKIN, then a "WHITE KADAR TOWEL" and our SARATH will walk here and there like a BLACK TIGER with Cotton Underwear which goes till his knee, RED BOTTU, Painted Eye brows. Then he will go in his HONDA CIVIC DX MODEL ( A Brown Horse) to meet those JACKET LESS, UNDER WEAR LESS ugly Old Perisus who will be wearing a DIRTY KOMANAM and a background Song and People falling on his feet. HA HA HA !!!

KUSHBOO gets introduced as SARATHS wife. Magane You must See KUSHBOO in her Coiambatore Style Cotton Saree and delivering her dialogs in Coiambatore Gounder style. Chance less. Another SARATH gets introduced as Brother to that "18 PATTI RASA" Sarath. The Story runs for Half hour Just showing the how the Family Members and Village people give and take respect from SARATH. "PONAMBALAM" gets introduced as a VILLAN and who has been asked to stay away from the Village Crowd for 18 Years by THE LAW OFFICE OF MATT DAVIS . All that he does is BURNS himself Every Damn year and kicks his mom "MANORAMMA" and Slaps his wife "VAISHNAVI". His daughter "SANGAVI" falls in LOVE with "SARATHS Brother".

MEENA who is from a ETHIRAJ college gets engaged to Little SARATH and she marrys SARATH. One must see that 95's Meena and 95's KUSHBOO. What else you need in a movie. MEENA who disobeys to what ever the family member says slaps SARATH's Small brother. Then Advice from "18 PATTI" Rasa comes in a Coiambatore Tamil ORU PONNU EPADI IRUKANUMNA ....... The little SARATH gets into a Problem in a Female matter who comes to that Village as a teacher. She dies. So his Brother SARATH is asked to say a "THIRPU" and a Flash back comes as a POLAR BEAR VIJAYA KUMAR (Father of Both Sarath) gets introduced in a FLASH BACK.

VIJAY KUMAR comes with a White Vesti (GOLD JARIGAI) at the bottom of the vesti, 10 to 12 GOLD CHAINS like DOG CHAIN, ONE Ear ring, chewing Betel leaf and Splitting that Echai in one Gold Cup and says "ELEA ....." and if some one asks for help he will remove one of his DOG CHAIN and give it to them. All that he does is sit below a tree and talk about the happening in NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE with those KOMANAM less and JACKET less females. Once he happen to give a "THIRPU" to Ponambalam his relative and asks him to Stay away from the village for 18 YEARS. In turn Ponambalam shoots him and he dies and his son SARATH becomes the next NATTAMAI. Later MEENA becomes Pregnant and Ponambalam kicks MEENA in her stomach and she falls down and She suffers and falls down. SARATH pushes a bullock card to hide the scene from the village people and she gives birth to a child. After all these Galij the movie ends as the Brother SARATH dies and the second SARATH becomes NATTAMMAI. I don't know what fun these guys will have becoming a NATTAMMAI as if NATTAMMAI post is like CEO of ORACLE CORP !!!

SARATH KUMAR:

There are actually Two Sarath's in the movie. One exactly looks like a ADYAR "CHILDRENS PART" BEAR ( KUTTY KARADI) and Another one is HYDREBAD NIZAM BEAR. Especially the Bigger SARATH exactly looks like a Bear that had a hair cut in a Barber Shop. ( KARADI KU CRAP VETNA MADIRI). That too they have painted his hair, Mush, Eye brows with BLACK PAINT. If you see SARATH in a side angle then you need not go to ZOO to see BEAR \The little SARATH looks very sad. All that he does is stare at MEENA's hips 30 times a day and act as a FROOT. He comes with a VIOLET and RED Printed shirt (Like a Coconut Tree Printed on a Color Shirt) which you get in PARRYS platform for 45 Rs. Normally guys wear those Printed shirts when they go to important festivals like "MARIATHAL KOZU" or some temple Functions on Sunday to cover Chicks. But one must agree that SARATH did a good job in this movie. The Person who is responsible for "18 PATTI RASA" culture in TAMIL MOVIES. After this movie every Hero's like "RAJA", "CHANDRA SEKAR", "VIYAPURI" started to Act as "18 PATTI RASA".....

one must see both these females. Especially MEENA with her Inviting eyes in a Rose Saree. That too in that dream song with SARATH KUMAR

How about KUSHBOO. With her Coiambatore Cotton Saree in a GOUNDACI Style with a light rose lip stick and acting with her face in a HOMELY AND FAMILY LOVE. Magane I think KUSHBOO and MEENA are the two TOP ARTISTof LAST DECADE. That song ,

In the middle of the song KUSHBOO will give a side look, That's it Even JULIYA ROBERTS, SHARONE STONE must go and fall at her feet. She was so sweet in that movie. I have never JOLLUFIED any heroine as i did yesterday watching MEENA and KUSHBOO !!!


VIJAYA KUMAR:

This VIJAYA KUMAR is "FATHER KARADI" of those Two Little KARADIS. That too he comes without Shirt. He scares us in such a way that even if a Original African KARADI sees our VIJAYA KUMAR it will run. All that our VIJAYA KUMAR is missing is a BEAR Face and a BEAR Nails. But excellent acting by VIJAYA KUMAR. There was one GALIJ in the movie. He will crew Betel leaves and then split in One Cup. A assistant will be holding that cup.

LOLLU COMMENTS:

This movie was released in Tamil as "NATTAMMAI" and in TELUGU as "PEDHA RAIYUDU" and in HINDI as "BULANDHI". In all these languages it was a super duper hit. Its a very simple formulae. Give what People want to see. Entertain them for TWO and HALF hours. There was no HERO dominating scene like Showing Arms, Lifting weight or Boxing Competition of Heroine dominating scene like Unnecessary dance, Hip show or lip show.

Excellent Village songs made me to feel better. Especially MEENA and KUSHBOO ! Take it from me they are the best. And of course these TWO VANDALUR BEAR's SARATH and VIJAYA KUMAR were too good in their acting although SARATH was missing NAGMA a lot. Might be K.S RAVI KUMAR must have given a Dream song with NAGAMA in SWITZER LANDso that he would be happy.

After this movie there was many hits projecting Our SARATH as 18 PATTI RASA and he was quite successful in it. These days VIVEK, VADIVELU, VIYAPURI started coming as RASA's in comedy role so no one want to see such roles. GOUNDER and SENTHIL comedy was ultimate. SENTHIL comes as GOUNDER's Dad and it was total comedy ! Good movie taken in a entertaining way. No doubt that this movie comes under CLASSICS !! I grade it to
be 80/100 for its excellent Story line and acting and for giving TWO hours of
entertainment !
