Cheran who has a Proven track record does it again in his Latest encounter. A director known for his Strong Screenplay, Good Story in his previous movies has selected the same path in this movie too without any commercial aspects and at the same time makes us to feel for the movie. His stories are Strong, Family Oriented without any commercial aspects and Crisp, at the same time his movies are "MALAYALAM AWARD MOVIES" which will be released in Mega Hit movies like Doordharshan at Sunday 1:30 PM.
This village story is a mixture of everything. A family Love, Brother Sister Love, A Panayar, A good Mixture of Story, Hero Heroine love and the specialty is there is no over doss of anything like the recent movies. Recently there were lots of movies which projects Love between Sister/Brother but they were loaded with lots and lots of Sentiments like HERO lifting CAR so that his sister's Leg will not touch the ground etc etc. RAJ KIRAN is the family head who comes to his village after 12 years to live in his village for the rest of his life and decides to Construct a House. He moves in with his Wife, Sister, and Sister's daughter. Arun Kumar who constructs his house gets in heart of everyone in that family because of his good behavior and his love on Village
culture.
Raj Kiran's sister slowly develops friendship with Arun and later
falls in love with him and so is Arun Kumar. The way the Director
projects these two character is nothing but superb. I have never
seen a movie with this kind of slow build up and at the same time
giving a Great feeling. Arun Kumar who builds the house for Raj
Kiran and the Village girl has the same interest, Thinking etc
etc. When She says her love on Arun Kumar Raj Kiran comes to know
about it. Arun Kumar comes to know that his lover "Shamitha" is waiting to get married to her "MAMA" who has been to Jail for his Family Good. "Shamitha" is forced to marry her because the family thinks that no one will be willing to give a girl to a person who has been to jail although he has gone there for his family good. Till she meets Arun Kumar she has decided that she is going to marry her MAMA "RANJIT" although he is 20 years older to her considering the "FAMILY NAME" and love on her Mom, Brother etc etc. Arun Kumar Decides that his Love on Shamitha is nothing compared to the Sacrifice the Family Members has did for each others good. Although its a tough decision he decides to leave the Village and go out some where.
But the heroine who had already developed a "Love" on the hero is unable to take a strong decision. Later she decides to go with "ARUN KUMAR" ditching the Family. This is the same reason why His mama is in Jail for years. But Arun Kumar Says no and leaves the village and she is forced to marry her MAMA. The Climax is a great one. The story ends as the director gives a good decision "WHO DID SHE MARRY". See the movie !!
RAJ KIRAN, ARUN KUMAR, SAMITHA:
There is no doubt that all the people who acted in this movie did a great job. RAJ KIRAN did a great job as usual with his village style dialogs, which in some place were really strong. He is known for doing these kinds of role for a long time. ARUN KUMAR
was good in this
movie. He can count only on this movie so far. Did an excellent
job in his acting. New Face "SAMITHA" was
too good although she does not have any feature of a Heroine. A
normal looking girl well suited for this character. LOLLU COMMENTS:
One must really appreciate Cheran. This movie is no less when compared to his previous movies "PORKALAM", "DESIYA GEETHAM", "BHARATHI KANNAMMA" or his "VETRI KODI KATTU". If you see all the above movies were SUPER DUPER HIT without any commercial stuff like "MUMTAZ" DANCE or GANA Songs or anything of that sort. All his movie will have a MESSAGE, Strong ScreenPlay, Good Story and nice acting from Artist. This movie does the same but is little bit slow. When tamil movies are going towards the part of Commercial Formulae forgetting about everything, This Young guy is towards something. That's his success. This movie is nothing but a Quality display of everything. The Dialogs are not harsh and Comedy sequence is not loud. One of the finest movies released this year, which is received OK by the audience. I would expect it to be a super Duper hit considering the Quality. Excellent performance by the artist. The movie is worth watching and is worth 70/100
