STORY:

VIJAY is a "ABCD" "AMERICAN BORN CONFUSED DESI". For those who does not know what is a ABCD, they are Indian People Born in USA who are Basically Americans who does not Know what is Indian Culture and what is happening over there. They have a Hair Style like VADIVELU and talk like "VIYAPURI" in American Slang. VIJAY is one such ABCD. The introduction scene of VIJAY was Too much. He will be walking before fancy trains, Smoke Cigars, Get down from Helicopter with Cooling Glass to Project that he is from Foreign country. He comes to India to visit his dad SPB. VIJAY who cannot adjust to INDIAN culture goes to BARS, DANCE FLOORS and leads his life of his own. He gets totally fed up with the BARS in India because they are not up to the mark. The DJ's in the DANCE FLOOR are not up to USA BARS D.J's. They are playing "KUNDRA THILE KUMARANUKU KONDATTAM" Song in DANCE FLOORS. He complains to his dad that the BARS in INDIA are not like BARS in SAN FRANSISCO and the CHICKS Dancing in Bars are all "CHAPPA CHICKS" with no Size and Shape. He also asks his DAD to start a Dance floor and allow only good Chicks so that he can have nice time with them.

SPB gets fed up with VIJAY's action and he decides that "Marriage" is the only solution for his son. SPB eyes falls on his PA "SIMRAN" who is very good in everything. SPB thinks that she will be right choice for his ABCD "SON". When he speaks about SIMRAN to VIJAY, He gets really mad. He says that he cannot live with a GIRL for his whole Life and its not part of his Life and Culture. "HE ASKS TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT FOR ONE YEAR". That is he will Marry SIMRAN for ONE YEAR and After the LEASE Period is Over he will terminate the Lease. SIMRAN agrees to the "ONE YEAR MARRIAGE AGREEMENT" because her family is not doing good. VIJAY asks to sign an agreement which States that he will be a husband for ONE YEAR!!! I have seen MARRIAGES which are arranged by PARENTS, I have seen Marriages which are Arranged by LOVE 'O' LOVE, I have even Seen marriages between DONKEY and MONKEY .... But in this movie they have gone one step above ....

VIJAY hates all these marriage sentiments. He hates the crowd that comes to the marriage with VESTI and SILK SAREE. Everything looks strange for him, including the First night room. The scenes were really over but Vijay Did it casually. Time runs as VIJAY roams in BARS and SIMRAN trying to be a good Wife. VIJAY meets in an accident. SIMRAN who is a good House Wife goes to "MANGADU MARRIYAMMAN" temple and does "ANGA PRADAKSHANAM" ! I cannot take SIMRAN doing "ANGA PRADAKSHANAM" !!! Hope in the next movie she does not come as an AMMAN!!! Time comes as the "ONE YEAR AGREEMENT" gets over. VIJAY asks SIMRAN to pack off as he is fed with that girl and he wants to renew his agreement with some other GOOD CHICK !!

Later VIJAY comes to know "HOW SWEET IS HIS WIFE". Goes and talks with SIMRAN and asks her to come back to his home with a NEW CONTRACT. SIMRAN Kicks VIJAYS BUTT and asks him to get lost. SIMRAN's family arranges for her SIMANDAM function as she is Pregnant. VIJAY and SPB were also invited. A RED HOT conversation starts between SIMRAN and VIJAY!! SIMRAN explaining what is meant by "MARRIAGE RELATION SHIP" and VIJAY explaining the culture in USA says that in US All the guys marry 10 times and all the females Marry 10 times etc etc etc. Its very casual ! I don't know why SIMRAN tries to explain about INDIAN CULTURE and VIJAY tries to explain about USA culture. Dai Magane!!!! ITHU ELLAM KONJAM OVER DA !!!

The Climax was the height of comedy. Villain Comes and tears VIJAY with a Knife. Blood Flows like water flowing from tap. At the same time SIMARN falls and starts to give birth to her new kid. VIJAY who sees SIMRAN suffering from PAIN ties his Stomach with a Coat so that Blood does not come out of his stomach and runs in MOUNT ROAD holding simran !! I think he must have rented an AUTO or YELLO CAB to Carry SIMRAN to Hospital. Why does some one who got a "KATHI KUTHU" wants to carry his wife who is about to Give birth to a Kid wants to run in MOUNT ROAD holding her. At last SIMRAN gives birth to a Kid and VIJAY Gets his Operation done. When the nurse comes with the new born kid and Says that "SEE YOUR KID" Simran Says "NO NO NO" I dont want to see my kid. First i want to see my "ABCD HUSBAND" who carried me in MOUNT ROAD holding my hips. Then the Hospital People Takes her near VIJAY who is lying in a Bed. SIMRAN calls VIJAY but there will be no Reaction from VIJAY. Suddenly the newly born KID will hold SIMRAN'S THALI in one hand and it will slap VIJAY in another hand. A 230 Volts Electric CURRENT will pass from SIMRANS THALI toVIJAYS face. BECAUSE of that "THALI CURRENT" Passed VIJAY wakes up. This kind of CURRENT that Passes from FEMALES THALI to HEROS face is called as "Nuclear Thali Reaction". Then Vijay Wakes up and both understands "WHAT IS MEANT BY LOVE" and "WHAT IS MEANT BY THALI", How a CURRENT can be passed from THALI to a Person who is Lying in a Hospital !!! etc etc! MAGANE !! Dai !!! MAGANE !! Antha Director En Kayle Kadachana !!!!!

VIJAY:

VIJAY comes as a USA return Guy and has done his job with great amount of Involvement and in a Casual way although the way he projects himself was too odd. His Casual dialogs were enjoyable at the same time makes us feel that "WHY THE HELL HE ACTS AS A LORD LABOKDOSS". I am with VIJAY as his character is like that. Especially the scene in which he says to SIMRAN that "What is that YELLOW KNOW these females wear" and "Lets Put an Agreement for ONE YEAR" and if our Marriage life works OK we will continue or else we will Quit and be as good Friends. Of course he comes out with good Dance in this movie too. All together he has done a good job.

SIMRAN:

SIMRAN has lost lots and lots of weight. She is the only artist in the TAMIL Movie industry who is Sexy right now. MEENA, RAMBHA, NAGMA have put on 100 Pounds of weight and their BACK and FROUN END have become SHAPE LESS and OVER SIZED. SIMRAN has taken Advantage of the OVERSIZED females and have ordered 1000 Pack of SLIM FAST and have reduced 20 Pounds in 2 Weeks. Result looks Slim and slender like a "TENDER COCONUT". But one sad thing is "OUR JOLLUS" Are used to HIMALAYAN Structures like KUSHBOO, OORVASHI finds it really hard that SIMRAN is slim. I think she has to maintain her SIZE so that our JOLLUS will be fan of her !! Unfortunately there is no exposure in any of the songs ! There are couple of Dream songs in SWITZERLAND but they have covered each and every part of her although she Shakes her HIPS as she does in all her movie. But what is the use of SHAKING HIPS when HEROINE's HIPS are covered by "KANCHI KUMARAN SAREE" that too COTTON SAREE !!!!

LOLLU COMMENTS:

VIJAY is probably the most luckiest actor in Kodambakkam today and i think he deserves it. Although the movie turned out to be a very normal one "THE MOVIE IS REPORTED TO BE A SUPER HIT" and is the No.1 Movie among the Diwali release movies. The movie has been loaded with Lots and lots of Sentiments. For sure our "THAI KULAMS" will go and shed few drops of KANEER after seeing "THALI", "FIRST NIGHT SCENE" etc. Lots of over projected scenes come in the movie and the dialogs were way too much. I don't find anyone in USA who is marrying 10 females and sleeping with 20 females. All are Bull Shit. But when you see from a Commercial point of view they make the Unknown to feel for it.

For sure VIJAY and SIMRAN did a great Job in acting. VIVEK was at his peak and his comedy was enjoyable. He comes as VIJAY's friend and did a cool job in comedy. A lengthy movie. Lot of direction flaws has been hide by Acting and comedy. This movie is a remake of a Super hit hindi movie acted by ANIL KAPOOR and KAJOL. I don't know the name of the movie. Its sad that we were not able to see SIMRAN in her usual dream song showing her NAVEL. That's OK That's OK that' s OK !!Lets see in the next movie. In one scene the MUSIC DIRECTOR S.A. RAJKUMAR comes. Man he looks So UGLY with TITANIC HERO HAIR STYLE. I don't know why he comes on Screen. He exactly looks like a person "WHO SELLS KARUVADU IN KONDITHOPU" All together I grade this movie to be a Over Senti movie and Over Projected one with good acting by VIJAY and SIMRAN !! Its worth 60/100!
