Mayakam Enna - New Tamil Movie Review by Your Prabhu
Danush, Ritcha stars in a new
tamil movie "Mayakam Enna". Directed by Selvaragavan,
Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The movie has created high
expectation because of the successful younger and brother
combination which
gave break to Danush during his earlier years in his career by
making him a mentally retarded guy. This movie definitely
makes everyone MENTAL by the end of the movie. Enjoy my

STORY:
Five friends live together out of which two of them are girls.
They hang out together, watch movies etc. Danush is one of them
and he is a Photographer who is trying to come up in life. He has
his best buddy who falls in
love with Ritcha (Heroine). He comes and introduces his
girl friend to the group. That’s it. This is where all of us
make a mistake. When you correct a girl never introduce her to
any of your close friends until you are very sure. Your Close
friend is the best enemy if you are are in love with some one.
Its basically the "Vaithu erichal" that we are not able
to correct a good figure like Richa. Ritcha slowly
develops a love for Danush. Initially Danush refuse her interest
but later he comes to know that he is in love with her as well.
Then the regular masala of "Friend or Love" Question
and Love overcomes the friendship. As the story develops Danush
runs around to come up in the life to become a big photographer.
He meets one of the most famous photographer of India. He asks
him to go and make some photo shoot. He then goes to a forest and
captures some wonderful photos. The Photographer takes credit for
Danush's work. He gets really mad. He then gets married to Ritcha
and starts his life. The story then revolves around his ambition
to come up in life. Then the regular Selvaragavan Masala of
making his Brother Danush as a mentally retarded guy. In this
movie also he becomes a mental guy. His wife gets pregnant and
our mentally disturbed Danush pushes her down etc etc. Finally he
gets selected for 2011 best photography award. He then gets
selected and finally comes up in life. A horrible
direction and a Very dragging story come to an end.
DANUSH
& SELVARAGAVAN :
Danush and Selvaragavan combination went overboard in this movie.
They try to copy their success factors in the previous movies to
maintain the same flavor like making Danush as a mentally
disturbed guy or depressed guy. God save me. Its horrible sit in
the theatre and watch Danush crying. The unfortunate thing in
this movie is everything is missing. He is not mentally disturbed
for the whole movie. In one scene he is and in another he is not.
I am not sure in what angle Danush looks like a Professional
Photographer. Selvaragavan got confused in many places how to
make this movie. Danush did his part in most places but he was
too dragging in many
scene and people in the theatre were shouting for the scene to
get over. Danush who is known for his dance did not do good
justice in this movie. Except for one song "Oda Oda Neram
Illye" he was quiet boring to watch in this movie. With his
Dadi in his face it was ever terrible. I think Selvaragavan must
rethink his approach in making movies. Enough with mentally
depressed or inferiority complex movies.
RITCHA
:
A big plus to this movie was Ritcha. If not for her this movie
will be out of the theaters in a week. She is a talk and very
good looking heroine. Quiet talented in acting. She was dragged
down by a dragging story line at the end where things become very
sentimental. Especially the second half where she stops talking
with Danush it was too much to see without dialogs coming out of
her mouth. But full credit goes to her for her acting in this
movie.

COMMENTS:
If you are going to watch this movie thinking that it’s a
good Selvaragavan movie you will be for sure disappointed. He
should have made this movie a little faster like his previous
movies. Too much of everything will make the story boring.
That’s exactly what happened in this movie as well. With the
KOLAVERI Song being so famous will definitely attract few crowds
to this movie. But definitely this movie is a disappointing one
especially you to theatre and spends a few dollars to watch this
one. These days’ going to movies is not cheap. Wait for a
DVD and the movie gets 30/100 from lolluexpress.
