New Tamil Movie Review by "Your Prabhu"
Parthiban, Divya Unni, Ranjit, 'Thalaivasal' Vijay, 'Delhi'
Ganesh stars in a new Tamil Thriller "Sabash". Music
by 'Then Isai Thendral' Deva and Directed by K. Subash. Enjoy my
latest Tamil movie Review on "Sabash". For a change a
Thriller. If its a tamil movie Our mind is set for Two kinds of
movies. Either it must be "Love" Based or It
must be "Village Head" based. Other than these
category if the movie wants to be a super hit then Steven
Spielburg must be hired to take those movies. One such attempt to
make a different movie is "Sabash".
STORY:
Parthiban is a blind guy and he finds his wife 'DIVYA
UNNI' dead. Police concludes that its a Succide case.
Ranjit who is a 
close friend of Parthi says some good words and
makes him feel better. Parthi who has doubt in his wife's death
asks the police to investigate on the case and the Inspector
"Thalaivasal" Vijay gets some doubt on Ranjt. The first
one hour of the movie went really fine and i thought that
'Kodambakkam' has gone one step ahead as Parthiban was doing a
great job and so was the direction.
How long our Tamil Crowd can see a serious story line. So comes
'Flash Back' in which PARTHIBAN and DIVYA dances in Beach shores
and height of irritation was Parthiban dancing in Color Shorts
and imitating Hindi hero's which was way beyond his scope like
wearing Cooling glass and running on the beach shores and hugging
the heroine. Fortunately Parthiban was not driving a
Convertible BMW like Sharuk drives in Dilwale Dhulaniya Le
Jayenge. I don't know who asked the heroine
"DIVYA" to come in a Wet saree in a song sequence which
was again a irritation. I think Only SIMRAN, MEENA can
come in a wet saree and tempt us. All Telugu heroine even if they
are not Wet comes under this category.
Ranjit who was the X-BOY FRIEND of Divya Unni
and a Close friend of Parthiban cannot control his Love on Divya
and wants to have One Good Love with Divya. Divya who loves
Parthiban a lot after marriage says No. Ranjit asks Divay
"To Sleep with him Once" like NAMBIYAR used to Ask
Heroines that too when MGR acts as Hero. Divya has no other go
and she agrees and PARTHI sees it who comes from DELHI after his
Eye Operation and he gains his eye sight again. The movie runs as
PARTHI Starts to act as BLIND although he gets his eye sight.
Then the movie drags drags drags as PARTHIBAN starts his 'LOOTY'
in a serious movie which was not pleasant for us. At last he gets
his friend RANJIT in jail although he didn't murder his wife
physically but he was the reason for her suicide.
PARTHIBAN
& RANJIT:
This was a great chance for Parthiban to show that he is not only
good in doing some 'Rowdi' or 'Character' roles but
can also do a different one. But he failed to do so although the
first half of the movie started to be promising. I don't find any
difference why he wants to cut jokes in a serious movie that too
when a husband has lost his wife. Its another movie for Parthiban
and there was no effect of Parthi being there.
RANJIT is one guy who has to be kicked off from Kodambakkam. They
can really spoil the image of the movie. That too he folds 
his
tongue and changes his face when ever he is trying to Stress
something. Its so cheap for a actor who is doing a main role in
the movie which brings a "B" grade movie to
"C" grade. Sorry Ranjit no excuse. !! That too he comes
with a Woolen cap as if he is going for Ice skiing. A big zero
for him.
DIVYA UNNI:
Divya Unni is one of the "BEST KATTAIS"
available today in Kodambakkam that to "MALLU
KATTAI" . She looks cute and is in Pretty good
Shape Right now. One cant promise that she will be the same next
year. She is good at acting too. But one cant see her in Modern
dress like the one "SHILPA SHETTY" or
"RAVEENA TANDOON" wears. She tries to expose
her assets but really fails. One few can expose and can be
enjoyed by us. All together she is,

COMMENTS:
Tamil Cinema never had good Crime stories. These kinds of movies
shaped up when JAYASHANKAR used to act as CID. It will be height
of comedy. There will be 3 to 4 Adiyals who will say come to "MUTTU
KADU BOAD HOUSE" at 3 O'clock in the night and they
will exchange suit case. One will have Gold Biscuit and another
one will have STONES and they both will exchange the suite case.
I dont how can one exchange a suit case full of gold with Stones
and even people accepted those movies. JAYA SHANKAR will come in
a BLACK JAVA Bike and kick those 'Adiyals' and run away and will
sing a duet with Jaya Sudha. This is what is meant by Crime
movies in Tamil.
A well taken 'Crime or Deductive' movie is fun to watch. Sabash
promised to be one good one At the start but fell down badly at
the last. PARTHIBAN better act in your style and the movies which
Match for you rather than jumping with Heroines in the beach
side. RANJIT can better work in a MUTTON SHOP and Put
Some "KOTHU CURRY" rather than irritating us ! DIVYA
UNNI if she maintains her SHAPE would be a feast for us ! The
movie is worth only 45/100 that too for a different try.
