"Alayam Presents, "SETHU" Vikram, 'New Face" Anitha, Nasar, Jaya Seal in a New Tamil Movie "SAMURAI". Music by "Minnale" Fame "HARRIS JAYARAJ".
STORY:
When I rented this Tape I laughed after looking at the name of this movie. The movie didn't have who acted in the movie etc. I
thought its
something related to a Bike or Bike race etc. But when I watched
the movie it was a different one. After SETHU, KASSI, VIKRAM who
is really Talented came into People mind and all his previous
movies, which were lying in the Stack, got a good boost. One such
movie is "SAMURAI". This movie is not
for anyone who looks for 2 1/2 hours of Entertainment or for
songs in Switzerland or any Jokes. It's a very serious movie
about a Person who fights against Corrupt Politicians and big
shots. The movie starts in a weird way. A Remote Village in North
India and the chief minister who is corrupted gets kidnapped by
"Vikram & Company". Similarly there are Five other
Cases who live on People Money and does not do any good for the
society. In the meantime Hero Vikram meets Heroine Anita couple
of times.A Flash back explains why A Jolly Medical College Student "Vikram" turned into "SAMURAI". JAYA SEAL is the best student in the class who raises her voice against any corruption in the college. The Medical College Dean is a corrupt guy who gets bribe from a Local Political to sell unrecommended medicine in the Hospital. One of JAYA Seal's patients dies because of the bad medicine and She Raise this issue to the DEAN of the college. But everyone rejects what she says and she Decide to Burn herself to raise the issue and she dies. VIKRAM who is her classmate gets disturbed because of the incident and turns into "SAMURAI". The Climax is how Vikram gets Justice to the Kidnapping he did.
VIKRAM:
Probably the only Light Subject he has done so far. After KASI and SETHU he appears to be well settled in acting. But the Scenes are Just repetition of pervious Story's like this. Many Scene in the movie are just Flash back of Movies like "INDIAN" and "CITIZEN" etc. The only Difference is VIKRAM has acted very calm and quiet in this movie. New Face Anitha was quiet good and nice to see a Tamil Girl as new face in movies. JAYA SEAL was the best among all of them with her good acting talents.

Full Credit for this movie goes to the CameraMan who worked on this movie. Excellent photography. HARRIS JAYARAJ once again proves that he is too good. The song 'Moongil Kaadukalae' was too good to heat. It was once of the best song I have heard this year. It was a good combination of Harris Jayaraj's Music and the Photography and Vikram's Calm Acting. Nasar Comes as a good Police officer and does a good job. The Big Drawback of the movie was all the Scenes were all done in pervious Revolutionary movies. The movie was not so bad like CITIZEN. It was not loud. But the movie appears as if we are seeing some old movie with different actors. People who go to movie for Entertainment alone will be disappointed. Other than the college Flash back that hardly comes for 15 minutes in the movie there was nothing for entertainment! Not even a Single Joke Sequence etc. The movie gets 50/100 for a good work by the Debutante director, Harish Jayaraj Excellent Music and Vikram's good acting. Other than that there is nothing special as the story is a repetation of INDIAN + CITIZEN etc etc etc.
