"SIGAMANI RAMAMANI" New Tamil Movie Review By "Your Prabhu"

STORY:

After a long time here is yet another family Problem subject. I think People are fed up with Love Subjects, Pannayar Subjects and "Kattu Karadi" Subjects. People need some change. Small screen fame "Visu" thought that its the right time for him to get in the field. After the big success of his Mega Show "Aratai Arangam" Visu has entered again in his direction field. The movie is no different that his regular Middle class Family Problem subject.

S.Ve. Shekar is the person who suffers because of his family members, namely his mother, sister, wife and daughter. They fight for everything. His wife Oorvasi cannot get along with Shekar's Sister "White Angel" Manorama and his mother. R. Sunderajan who is the family head does not have any voice in that family. Even his wife ill-treats him and asks him to stay outside the house. His Place is that small 'Thinnai' which is outside his house. Manorama's husband 'Crazy' Mohan is a good for nothing guy. Nothing goes right for S.Ve Shekar because these guys are always fighting for nothing. The initial scenes were really cute. Oorvashi fights with Manoramma saying about her Family and R. Sunderrajan waiting outside watching the fight. One must see Oorvashi and the way she says about her Family and at the same time scolding her husband's family and Manoramma backfiring Oorvashi .... It was real fun to watch.

S.Ve Shekar gets pissed off as he cannot control his "BAJARI" Wife Oorvashi or his Sister Manorama, or his Mom. He decides to go out of his house and disappear for a while. He meets Visu and he gets a Manager Job as Visu runs a Marriage hall. Visu while studying S.Ve Shekar feels that he is not normal asks about his problem. Then he says his sad story of how these Four Females eat him daily and says that Females are the cause of all problems in this world. Visu totally disagrees with what S. Ve Shekar . Till this point one can enjoy the movie. The movie becomes a "RAMBAM" when Visu starts his Flash back saying about his past life.

I want to ask one thing, How can one stand VISU's flash back. Visu comes with a Black Wig, Shirt Pant. Just imagine Visu when he was 35 Years old. It was too much and very funny. Lots of Drama Actors gets introduced as his relative and the movie runs for another 1/2 hour showing his character. After that is over Visu advises S.Ve. Shekar to go to his house back and gives various ideas to take care of the characters as he does from 1980 "MANALKAYRU". The movie ends as he gives advice and the family members and the family reunites at the end.

VISU:

The same old style Visu movie. There is no change in his approach or the story line or the characters that act in the movie. It's like watching a stage drama. For sure this will not satisfy our crowd who are so much used to see duets and dance in movies and suddenly seeing a dry family subject. How many times we can see a person who solves a middle class family problem with no change in it. People are so much used to Mumtaz Dance or a dance in Switzerland. I think Visu can shine well in Small screen rather than taking family movies like this. Visu's flash back was irritating. No one will really care about how Visu looked in thirties with his Black Wig.

S.Ve. Shekar and Oorvashi:

The only satisfaction in the movie was Oorvashi and S.Ve Shekar in few places. Oorvashi was outstanding. She has gained lots and lots and lots of weight and almost looks like a "THANNI THOTI". I was watching her "Mundanai Muduchi" few days before. She was really cute in that movie. Even though she has gained lots and lots of weight she is still cute. Her acting is outstanding. The way she talks with Manorama was really nice. S.Ve.Shekar brings some laugh here and there. As usual he was Good.

LOLLU COMMENTS:

After watching these kinds of movie now I know why people are behind LOVE Subjects. I think Only "KODAMBAKKAM" can make good Love Subjects in this world. Old Directors like Visu must change their subjects or they have to take the same movie in 21st Century style. I don't say that there must be Dinosaur Show in "Sigamani Ramamani". There is no change in Subject or the direction or the Actor/Actress. Can you believe DILIP was also there in the movie? Yes the same old "SAMSARAM ADHU MINSARAM" Dilip. God Save Us. Where is Simran? Let's put her in all the movies. Atleast Young Generation people will enjoy it. SIGAMANI RAMAMANI is the same old "Veththalai Potti" with no change. The movie gets 35/100 for Outstanding Oorvashi's action. Other than that nothing is there in the movie. It's better for Visu to stay in the Small Screen.
