"SNEHITHIYE" New Tamil Movie Review By "Your PRABHU

STORY:

A different try by PRIYADARSHAN as he always does in his movie. The movie is based on Women and the movie does not have any actors in it. All the actors in the movie are FEMALES and we hardly find a MALE on Screens except for Extras who stand in Crowd. The movie starts in a TYPICAL MADRAS LADIES HOSTEL. Girls having fun Chatting about everything, Showing their Hostel Rooms, Clash between two Female Gangs. One. gang is JOTHIKA's So called as VASU and her Close Friends and the other gang is ISHITA's gang. They both are the two most prominent Figures in the college. They both end up with Clash every time. The initial Scenes were really sweet showing the EGO Clash between TWO COLLEGE TOP FEMALE GANGS. A Typical Fight our College Girls have in their hostel. One Says that she has the most Beautiful Hair in the world. The other says that she got it giving Tons of Money etc. One must Really appreciate JOTHIKA for her ANGRY LOOKS and COOL ACTING and at the same time Supporting her close Friend SRABHANI for what ever she does. In other words a Fight between COLLEGE PETER GIRLS GANG Vs COLLEGE LOCAL GRILS GANG.

For those who does not understand what is COLLEGE PETER GIRLS, there will be a separate set in Each Class who are Called as PETER GIRLS. Normally their Parents will be DUBAI or ABU DHABI and they will send their girls to College in MADRAS for the heck of Getting a Degree. Those girls will come to COLLEGE for the heck of coming there with JEANS, T-SHIRT and RAY BAN Cooling glass and stare the other Regular college girls as if they have come from MARS or PLUTO. These Sad local Area Girls will develop a COMPLEX and will stay away from the PETER GIRLS. There will be CLASH between PETER GIRLS and the NORMAL GIRLS on College day etc etc !!! Guys who are studying with These girls use this Opportunity and PETER GUYS will settle with PETER GILRS and the Other guys will Settle with OTHER Girls and develop their LOVE. Similar fight happens in this movie too.

LAKSHMI gets introduced as "ATHAI" of Srabhani and Manorama as Mom of Jyothika. The story goes like this till "A Person Gets Shot by a Unknown" and JOTHIKA and Her close Friend SRABHANI are named as the Killers. The unknown person who is shot dead used to Call these Girls and Say "I LOVE YOU". It was a Plan by JOTHIKA to call him to their Hostel and know who the person is and hand over him to police. But unfortunately he gets killed before their Room. TABU gets introduced as a Police Officer who handles this case. For here the movie gets Various Twists and Turns and Both JOTHIKA and SRABHANI escapes from the Police Station in Search of the True Killer.

I must say "PRIYADHARSHAN" has handled this movie with great care. He keeps us guessing who is the killer. He made his scenes in such a way that we will think that the other female who was fighting with JOTHIKA and her friend is the Killer. Suddenly LAKSHMI acts in a weird way. It makes us think that "LAKSHMI" is the person who is involved to take all her Brothers daughter wealth. The movie runs as TABU takes charge. The movie lags for a while but again takes a twist. "WHO IS THE KILLER" ????? A Real superb climax says it !!! I don't want to say the climax as it will be really nice if you see and know who she is !!! You will get shock of you life. Its like reading a 1000 Page Crime Novel and the climax is on 1000th Page !!! Good Movie Ends with a Shock !!!!!

JYOTHIKA, SRABHANI, LAKSHMI, TABU:

Every one in this movie came out with a Class Acting. JOTHIKA was too good and probably her best Acting she has done so far. LAKSHMI tops everyone with her Strict and Sharp Dialogs and so was Manoramma. New Face SRABHANI looks good and at the same time makes us forget that she is a new face. Both JOTHIKA and SRABHANI have done their role to 100%. TABU comes as a Police officer. I think she is becoming "AMBALAI" day by Day. That too when she does harsh roles like this. JOTHIKA looks like a College Girl with her Angry face and a Gang Leader and at the same time hiding from Police and search for the Killer. Few scenes were TOO MUCH like getting out of AUTO when police are chasing etc etc. But because of Superb Performance and great Direction they make us feel Better.

LOLLU COMMENTS:

There will be some minimum Qualities if a movie is from a Good Director. "SNEHITHIIYE" has all those minimum Qualities from a Class director. A good Thriller maintained till the end with good Acting. I don't know where from LAKSHMI got her Strong acting. She was No.1 Among the crowd. First of all this movie is a different try. A movie that was taken without a HERO. One can say that there were lots of movies before like "MAGALIR MATTUM". I will disagree with it because "NASSAR" played a great Role in MAGALIR MATTUM. I think this is the first ever movie that was made without a Support from a MALE ACTOR.

I think these kinds of movies must be supported by us. A Great Quality movie. I never thought that JOTHIKA can act this well. Her natural Angry Expressions in her face went so well in this movie which added a Big Plus for a superb Direction and a unexpected Climax. The scene in which JOTHIKA says that GUYS maintain their FRIENDSHIP even after their College days and Girls Forget to maintain is really True. Its Really odd that GIRLS maintain their Friendship for the time being. That is they will say that they are THICK FRIENDS till they complete their college and forget each other when they are done with their college.. A great movie with few slips. Songs are not that great. The movie is worth 85/100 and a great TAMIL MOVIE at the end of the year !!!!
